Yahoo!Group for Coming Together

good idea -I'm signing up as we speak -and I will PM volume three people about releases after that :)

I just downloaded Liar's vetting database to a spreadsheet & I'll create vetting polls soon.

I signed up in some form of sophiajane. I can never remember what all my handles are.

Databases are set up for stories & poetry vetting.

With 58 stories & 45 poems, I'm not sure I have the patience to set up a poll for each ... but all group members should be able to edit database records & add endorsements.

Databases are set up for Tables of Contents (although I'm still fighting with Yahoo! to import the data).

Please don't take this as a criticism of what you are doing, or that I have a desire to join.

I think what you are trying to accomplish is great. I only have one observation. By limiting the membership to people who have already submitted work to "Coming Together" and then allowing this select group to decide what gets added to future volumes, aren't you running the risk of creating a "Mutual Admiration Society" where the relatively small group of writers only vote each others' work?

Good luck on your project.

Troublemaker. lol.

There is still the thread here on the AH. People can see the list of stories that are already submitted for vetting HERE and if folks ant to add somethin to the vetting list they can do so by posting in the Coming Together Thread. .

I just think the Yahoo group will be more manageable for relating news, for contacting individuals about permission for their stories and means you can keep submisions in a seperate section making everything easier for the Coming Together Crowd to see exactly what's going on.

I suppose that's one way to look at it. *shrug* If folks choose to judge the participants in that fashion, so be it. Those who know us know better, though.

Abs is a happy go lucky, Pink loving girl.....

Like I said, it was merely an observation...nothing more...

The same thing could easily be said about non-CT/Lit writers, but who cares?

I'm obviously in the minority, but I do think that is a valid point.
