Simple.....people sell your email address. SOmething they don't even own, which baffles me. I think you should get royalties off that crap. If you don't want jumnkmail, don't put your email address in any forms you fill out, or put a fake email address in.

Well fuck, they could at least tailor it to fit me...I'm not talking just one or 2 emails about dieting...but hundreds. I have never ever gone to a site about diets, never looked up anything concerning diets...is there anyway to stop it? Do they just sell it to whoever?? There should be a law about shit like that! I'm going to write my congressman!

best thing you can do is ignore the emails...don't reply, don't even touch them. Just delete them. I have the feeling that one of my cousins is part of teh loopy people that believe everything they get that says something like, "send us 5 emails, and you'll have good luck". She swears by that crap. I don't use my "real name" email addy for anything other than family and close friends. So when I get spam, I know the email addy was given by someone other than me.
Also when I sign up for anything at a website, I use my company domain name and the website name as in - literotica@mydomainname.com. that way if I do get spam to that address, I know exactly which company sold my email address.

I get ton's of that crap on all of my e-mail addy's. Thank God for the delete button, I don't even open them. I really love the herbal viagra ones. Ha!

I have a Hotmail account, but I get mail from only one person there...its my *shhhhh* secret email. I never get spam there cause I don't use that addy for anything. My aol addy is the one I put on everything when you have to put in an email address. I understand thats where I'm going to get all the shit...but why can't it be stuff that I might be interested in? I never open the diet stuff, just delete it...why do I continue to get it! Hate that!!!!!
