X-Men

What was up with killing off so many main characters? (won't spoil by saying who) Does ANY of the characters ever die in the comics?

They killed off or wrote out those that were probably done with the series.

Oh great, so the story is not character driven, but "actor" driven.

Well... you can't exactly leave the 1st one that was killed (wont name names since it'd be a spoiler) alive and suddenly have to explain away their nonapperance in another sequal or replace the actor. And by killing that one off first instead of waiting until the final battle made sense since it set up another characters turn to the other side.

Actors get replaced in shows and movies, as long as it's with someone as good, it doesn't hurt the franchise. Problem is, it's usually never someone as good.

I don't know if you've heard, but only 2 characters "really" die.

No, 3 died, and they wrote out another 2 for all purposes. Though I suppose with the end scene they could always just regain their powers again.

Only 2 - not 3? Who lives?

Unless of course this final scene after the credits had Grey resurrecting or something. I left the theater as soon as the credits started rolling.

$100 says every mutant that lost eir powers will regain them.

2 died and one revealed e was still around after the credits.

Damn it, I knew I should have waited.........

Please tell me who survived.

If it was Cy I'd be surprised considering Marsden has been wanting out of the series since the 1st one.

Spoiler! Alert!

Professor X took over the body of the empty shell Moria was working with.

Of course - the easiest way to for a new actor to play an existing character - well done holywood!

I liked it.

It wasn't as good as part 2, but I didn't hate it. And fan that I am, I will purchase it for full price the moment it hits DVD.

Halle Berry had too many scenes and they are never going to get a white wig that doesn't make her look retarded.

I'm never going to like the chick that plays Rogue. She is far too milquetoast for a character who is supposed to be oozing with pent up sexual tension. That and they made her far too young to bring Gambit into the story.

Still, she does get to make out with Wolverine (the eternally charismatic Hugh Jackman), and she uses her powers to blow off his clothes, and for that we remain grateful.

Truer words have not been spoken.

they die all the time, but for some reason they all have 2 lifes, they all make oine more appearance, unles you have that healing factor, then you dont die unless ur head is removed from your body

X-men slows

Sorry people, but this is going to kill the fan base for the future movies. Those that were killed had the biggest draw. Without them, (and those that suffered the other death) the directors have seriously stunted the future growth and draw of any future projects. I mean, how many of these movies are you going to watch after they just wiped out the good guys and left the bad guys intact? And you have to worry if they will continue this trend in future movies because they think it's a draw card? How can you watch a movie that continually changes main characters at the whim of the execs?

WTF was up with this movie? I just watched it .... what's with the deaths?? This is not even remotely close to the comic book. Juggernaut went out like a bitch and a half. Why wasn't there a showdown between he and Wolverine. That scene in the house doesn't count because it wasn't a fight , just wolverine getting tossed like yesterdays salad. If they didn't want that, they should have had a fight between he and colossus, that would have been quality entertainment. They had better clean this mess up with #4

I fucked 'em.

Fucked 'em all.

Then Psychlocke turned Japanese.

So I fucked her sideways.

Quite simply... Wolverine in a 1 on 1 always gets his ass handed to him by Juggernaut so it wouldn't make any sense to have them square off. If they would have fought and somehow Wolvy held his own it only would have diminished Jug's power even more. Yeah, Jug went out like a bitch but how else could it be done? At least in this way they used the sudden mutant based abilities of his by having them taken away by getting too close to the kid.

And I explained the deaths earlier... They killed em off because those were the actors who were done with the series.

I'm suprised Patrick Stewart decided to end his affiliation. I don't see them making any more TNG movies.

Also , my xmen lore is a little rusty , how exactly does xavier lose his ability to walk?
