X-Men: The Next Generation (Take 2 // OOC)

I did this thread a few months back and i have to admit that it quickly grew to be one of my favourite and most successful threads. Thus i am restarting it.


The X-men, the mutant superheroes led by Proffessor Charles Xavier, to better the relations between man and mutant.

Along with his first students; Scott Summers (Cyclops), Robert Drake (Iceman), Warren Worthington III (Archangel), Henry McCoy (Beast) & Jean Grey (Later known as Pheonix). Xavier went about attempting toa chive his goals of peace, as well as several times saving the world from threats such as Apocalypse and Magneto.

The X-men recruited more members, such as Storm, Havok, Polaris, Gambit, Rogue, Wolverine, NightCrawler, Jubilee, Banshee, Collosus, Shadowcat, Eventually gaining an impressive roster, that easily outmatched that of other team such as the Avengers.

The X-men, apart from being based primarily at the Xavier School for Mutants, also eventually split into several splnter teams such as The New Mutants,
The Muir-Island X-Men, Phalanx Covenant X-Men, Astonishing X-Men, X-treme,
EoD X-men, Planet X Street Team, X-Force, X-Factor, Excalibur, Generation X,
X-Corporation, X-Statix

With several students being formed into squads such as Flying Class, Stepford Cuckoos, Omega Gang, Special Class, Rogue's Squad, Hellions, Corsairs, Paragons, Alpha Squadron, Gambit's Squad, Storm's Squad, Exemplars, Excelsiors.

Eventually times changed, and Professor Xavier developed Brain Cancer, eventually dying. After this Tragedy, the X-men went their different ways, each keeping in contact with each other, occasionally gathering togethor to help save those who needed it.

++Present Day++
Dr. Hank McCoy finally decides to reopen the school, with himself as it Head Teacher, in honour of Charles Xavier, and the Charles Xavier Memorial College for Mutants is opened. This time though, the college also doubles as a training ground for the next generation of X-men, mixing both faces old and new.


Okay, to play, you need to choose either Original or Canon.

For Canon (i.e. the older X-men such as Jubilee, NightCrawler, Storm) you need to say who you are. IF YOU WANT, YOU COULD EVEN PLAY MUTANTS WHO WERE FORMERLY EVIL BUT HAVE TURNED TO GOOD (i.e. Toad)

For Original, don't go overboard, these are young adults who have only just learnt their powers, so don't make them uber strong.

Sidney Green // Oynxx
18 years old
Born Sidney Green, Onyxx was passed from various foster homes and orphanages, unable to find acceptance because of his crude behavior[1] and chronic bedwetting. However, the latter was cured when young Sidney mutated into the huge rock-like form he now possesses, much to his delight.
Onyxx has a craggy granite body which gives him superhuman strength and greater resistance to physical injury.

Okay i'll give this a go.

Name: Sakura Tendo/ Proton
Age: 18
Bio: Soon after she was born it was made apparent that she was different then other children. She could change the chemical composition of a few thing just from touching it. This made her parents worried. As she got older they kept a close eye on her. She was really interested in math and sciences especially chemistry. Her powers were erratic at best and she never could learn to control them.

Well she was brought to Xaviers school not even a month ago when she accidently blew up a classroom by working on an experiment. Noone is sure how but her powers just peaked and blew the whole room apart.

Powers: Starting powers will be simple this is a dumbed down version of one of my characters i had created for my comic book. Can change the chemical composition of things just by touching it. Mild electrical blast of positive energy. Limited flight.

her true powers are much more powerful but we will keep it here for now.

Oh and i'll get a drawing up of what she looks like in the next couple days.

Name: Kurt Straudinger ‘Red’
Age: 18
Bio: born in to a family of Nazis, his father being a skinhead extremist, his mother a schizophrenic bitch. At a young age he and his whole family was involved in a major car accident, he was the only survivor, during thee crash he lost his right arm up to the to of his bicep. He would have died of bleeding had he not been a mutant.

The government decided to send him to the Charles Xavier Memorial College for Mutants for his rather unnecessary rehabilitation, as they are the only ones who would be able to handle his mutation.

Powers: Complete control of his blood, he cant control the blood of others unless he mixes it with some of his own. He has an abnormally large amount of blood, having to actually bleed himself every day to prevent some blood vessels from bursting. He made his right arm from a suit of amour, dried blood along the inside of it allowing him to use it as if it were a normal limb.

b) The Plots, well i don't want to give too much away, but i will say that there will be no Zombies, or insane Wolverines to deal with. There will be at least 1 danger room simulation, and apart form that i cannot reveal the plot. sorry.

Mutant Name: Sub-Circuit
Age: 19
Bio: Ozzy Black was born into a normal big city family; at least if you count being the only son of the former head of the largest chain of banks in the world, Gabrial Black, as normal.

Obviously as befitted the lifestyle of such a family; he attended only the best schools and found during this time that he had an uncanny knack for using computers. Unfortunately this was still not
enough, and he used all the equipment and his knack to cause trouble via cyber-terrorism (hacking bank accounts etc)

At the age of 18 he was caught and should have ended up in prison, where it not for his parents money. At the close of the fairly high-brow trial his parents disowned him and turned him out on his own. He drifted around for around 6 months, in that time learning that his knack was something more than just skill. He could actually "speak" to computer systems simply by touching them

Whilst he was hooked into the net one night he found details on the Charles Xavier Memorial College for Mutants, realising that this may be the route his life was supposed to take, an also realising that he has almost no cash left and nowhere to live, he decided to head there.

Powers: Currently he is able to interface any computer system simply by touching it, if it is hooked up to the net then he can access the internet through it and find any information that he may need.

Recently he has found that he is able to cause telephones to ring simply by concentrating on them, however he has no idea how at this point

I have more in mind for his powers, and if you would like more details about them then I will gladly PM them to you if it will help shape the plotlines in any way.

Profile: Colossus is a large man by any right, towering in at over 6 feet high and weighing around 250 pounds. But his size is not why he is known as, “Colossus.” Colossus can change his body into an organic steel composition. While in this state, he grows in size and tremendously in mass.
When covered in the living steel, Colossus is nearly impervious to damage. He can survive explosions, extreme heat and cold, falls from great height, and is resistant to magic. Colossus will not rust.

Colossus also has super strength while in his metal form. He can lift in excess of 100 tons and can go toe to toe with many of the heavy hitters,

• Storm has demonstrated the ability to control natural forces that include cosmic storms, solar wind, ocean currents and the electromagnetic field. Storm has been additionally portrayed as a skilled thief, escape artist and a gifted hand-to-hand fighter, trained by Wolverine. By using superior strategy Storm has overcome physically superior fighters like Callisto and the Crimson Commando in hand-to-hand combat. Storm is fluent in Arabic and Swahili, a characterization that gives her a thick African accent. As part of her paraphernalia, Storm carries a set of lock-picks and her ancestral ruby, which allows inter-dimensional transportation with the help of her lightning. Her ancestry is frought with powerful magic, and though her magical ability has never been fully explored it has been hinted at. Storm's spirit is so strong that she was able to host the consciousness of Eternity, a feat in which very few Marvel characters can do without going insane

*Strengths: Storm's physiology grants her immunity to extreme weather conditions and temperatures. Her body compensates for rapid decreases or increases in atmospheric pressure. She can see in near-complete darkness and has superb dexterity. Storm has been described as having one of the strongest wills among the X-Men, making her highly resistant to psychic attacks. Telepaths have found it difficult to track her down and probe her thoughts. Several of these traits are independent of her mutant status and are a result of her ancestry.

*Weaknesses/Limitations: Although her weaknesses aren't concretely documented, I would suggest that major afflictions would kill her, i.e. bleeding out, shot in the head, etc. The weather in Storm’s immediate vicinity varied with her emotions. Storm clouds could gather overhead for example, if she became displeased, As a result, Storm has kept a tight rein on all extreme emotion. Storm's ability to control the weather is limited by her force of will and the strength of her body. Storm has to manipulate weather patterns as they naturally exist. Storm cannot create atmospheric conditions that cannot exist naturally on the planet she is on. She could not, for example lower the temperature as far as absolute zero or raises them to solar intensities.

Bio:
Ororo Munroe is the child of Kenyan tribal princess N’Dare and African-American photographer David Munroe. While stationed in Egypt during the Suez Crisis, a fighter jet crashes into her parents’ house, killing them. Buried under tons of rubble, Ororo survives but is orphaned and left with intense claustrophobia. In Cairo, she is picked up by the benign street lord Achmed el-Gibar and becomes a prolific thief; among her victims is her future mentor Professor X who is there to meet the Shadow King. Following an inner urge, she wanders into the Serengeti as a teenager and meets T’Challa, her future husband. Despite strong mutual feelings, the two part ways. In the Serengeti, Ororo first displays her mutant ability to control the weather. For a time, she is worshipped as a rain goddess, practicing nudism and tribal spirituality, before being recruited by Professor X into the X-Men.
