I can't get an avatar! I did everything it said, I logged out, I closed browser windows, I deleted all the cookies. Nothing. Did I miss something?

Did you refresh the editavatar page? Someimes it is necessary to force a complete refresh by using CTRL-F5.

As long as it's a new member or someone has a little bit of history or seems genuine, most of the HT regulars don't seem to care about post count.
