WTF - Tried to amend my signature and get a 8 lines too long. There is only 8 lines???

I tried to edit a mistake in my sig this morning only to get told that it's too long. I took out one line and still too long. The thing is
it's telling me my entire signature has to go??? WTF?

I count 12 lines. Yes, the new limit is 4 total, including blanks.

I can't be sure, but there may be a character limit too, so you may not even be able to fit it all on 4 lines with spacing and alignment.

You want to tell me that leaving a comment under your story, that's probably going to be pushed out of the range of displayed comments within a day, is not enough for you!?

Same. I don’t even have signatures enabled. The handful of gaudy and ridiculous ones that interrupt when reading a thread led me to just turn them off. It’s only a problem when someone reports something that’s in a signature, but I can get around that when the issue presents itself.

LOL, and to think that I've been accused of pumping up a story by leaving a response to a reader's comment.

He's right. Some of them are quite extensive, including multiple pics and a long list of stories. Mine, of course, is just the perfect length.

How long have you had the signature at its current length? Signatures and a few other things changed with the new forum software, but old signatures remained until a person attempts to change them.

If I remember correctly the total length includes the characters it takes to assemble a hyperlink. I don’t believe number of lines matter, just number of characters. There’s also an image limit. What I have looks like two but is actually a single image, I had to remake it when I wanted to change my signature after the new forum was in effect.

With a little effort (or a lot) you can probably keep most of what you have.

I found my last participation in a signature length topic from June last year. (https://forum.literotica.com/thread...-hidden-in-mobile-view.1568139/#post-95327849). So sometime between February and June was the forum change.

I bet you’ll win another contest or something someday. You’ll want to change it one day sooner or later. ;-)
