There are certain kinks I will never entertain, no matter how much I'm asked, however, coming from a small community where cousins married cousins, the effects were pretty horrible if/when offspring were produced. What consenting adults do in privacy is their business, and theirs alone. But when people get caught up in the heat of the moment and something unexpected happens, the consequences can have some brutal long term impacts.

Also I don’t give any validity to the “consensual” aspect. There is no consent there is always by its very nature a power imbalance. You're comparing apples to poisoned fruit. As you know from reading the early posts (because I'm sure you read carefully, to be sure of what you were responding to) what we're talking about here is nonconsensual incest. “Nonconsensual” includes not only physical rape and other forms of coercion, but sexual activity between an adult in a position of power (parent, uncle, etc) with anyone whose brain is not sufficiently developed to make mature and independent decisions about their life. Experts vary as to what the actual age of maturity is— anywhere from 24 to 28, from my reading— but there's no question that it does not include minors.

There's also no question about the common results of incest against minors— results that can occur in childhood, or only appear years later, even in an apparently healthy adult. The list is long, but high up on that list are PTSD, drug or alcohol addiction, and suicide. Other results include sexual addiction, hypoactive sexual desire disorder and morbid obesity. To compare this sort of stuff to how it affects you to read about a consenting adult man sucking cock is beyond insensitive.

Again, you miss the point. Nobody gets PTSD from reading. People who have PTSD as a result of earlier traumatic experiences can be triggered by things they read unintentionally. And “Unintentionally” is exactly the point of the original post and comments: I was not talking about stories or threads specifically devoted to incest. I find them problematic for other reasons that I've already discussed. But what I was initially talking about was people putting incest-related comments— almost invariably men, talking about their daughters— in threads that have nothing to do with incest. This kind of derail has become very frequent here, and it's very easy to just stumble on one without warning. That is, in effect, non-consensual. It's also in just plain bad taste.

I don't have any judgements about relationships between siblings of similar age. There are potential consequences, particularly if the siblings are minors: the possible pregnancy of an inbred baby; the likelihood of social mockery or ostracization if others learn of their secret. Still, these are concerns, not judgements against those children. If any harm is done, then the children themselves are the victims.

What I do have an issue with is middle-aged men salivating over these relationships.
