What do you think is happening to the Amish in this country? They have a similar problem due to marrying within a closed community.

P.S. Couldn't find the article I wanted, but Hasidic Jews in New York brought up a group of Amish to New York. In the article it was related the Jews have the same problem as the Amish: too much inter-breeding which has led to genetic defects in their children.

And that's why it is against the law to marry you first cousin in most states of America. Even though my first cousin on my moms side is a looker, neither of us would ever think about having babies together.

Although with genetic modification of the our DNA that defect problems might/could be dealt with and we could have children together. But that shit is to faraway for me and her, we'll be dead by the time they figure it all out. But then some asswipe in congress will want it made illegal.
