"Global warming" means significant climate change.

It doesn't necessarily mean that everywhere will get warmer. Some places will get colder; some places will flood more frequently; some places will experience more and more severe twisters and hurricanes; some places will be drier; some places will be wetter.

The effect of overall global warming will mean more extremes of weather and local changes of micro-climate. One of the possibilities is that England will have winters as cold as Newfoundland if the Gulf Stream slows, diverts, or stops.

"Global warming" could change many of the traditional weather patterns we are used to.
