I posted a 'poem' on the site, late August, and it was rejected, 3rd September, as being posted in the wrong category, 'stories' and not 'poems ... fair enough my error, but to be fair, there is no obvious link in the drop-down menu when submitting, to select 'poems'... but I was provided with link to resubmit, which was a nice touch...
however, I can't use the same title as its already in use???? and I can't delete the rejected poem... like huh? how many 'stories' and 'poems' on this site use the same 'title'???... I stopped counting when I reached 500...
my issue is that changing the poems title can take away from its meaning, but, I complied and reposed, same day as rejection, as a new piece of work and with a new title... and I am still waiting for it to be posted??? {UPDATE: ALL SUBMISSIONS NO LIVW}
the FAQ's mention a new posting should go live between 3-7 days and I know and understand the volume of work that the editors go through to get stories up and on line, but 90% of that is nowadays, automated...
so perhaps a little clarity, update the FAQ's to reflect current trends, {insert Covid-19 there} and perhaps check that the 'links' are all working, even 30 years ago, that was an automated selectable action built into web page builder...
all said and done, a good job by a select dedicated few to keep the site above water...
