Story hasn’t been published

I submitted a story for publication on October 10, 2025 and it still hasn’t been published. It hasn’t been rejected or sent back. Is there a way to contact someone on the site? I just submitted a second story and I fear it might suffer the same fate. This is the longest I’ve had to wait for publication and I’ve published 100 stories.

I would suggest dropping a polite note to laurel the site owner who moderates all submissions. She is unlikely to respond but it might sitting it loose one way or the other

I had one story in the pending state for a very long time (14 days +). I eventually changed it so it would end up in my drafts again. I tried a new story and that was published very fast. Still not sure what was the problem with the first one. Will give it another go later on. So my advise is take it back and give it another go.

Thank you, I will try this. They did finally publish the story a few days ago, now I’m waiting for the next one to he published.

It did get published, but now I am having an even more annoying issue. I submitted chapter 7 of a story on November 7 and it still hasn’t been published. I submitted chapter 8 of that story early December and it immediately got published while Chapter 7 is still pending. It still hasn’t been published while. I’m reluctant to publish the final chapter, because i fear it will get published before chapter 7.

You are probably right that your chapter 7 submitted on November the 7th will remain in pending purgatory. There are options on other threads.

My non erotic story has been in pending purgatory since November the 26th. I originally submitted it September the 11th, I waited a month, deleted, and submitted it as new. No, it really is not unprecedented. Read the threads in the Authors Hangout. It's happening uncommonly, but still far too often.
