Writing Goal for the Day?

Mainstream mystery off to the publisher. Wrote a "Lit. character" story last night. Today, other than chugging away on a 200,000 mainstream publisher edit, I'll review my summer Lit. contest entry, and try to start work on an expansion of the relaunching habu "Neighbor's Hot Tub."
 
I'm trying to finalize DM4 for publication, but the fucking telephone won't stop ringing.
 
I NEED to write something for FH10. Like I can't just leave it for another day. I feel bad for being lazy lol, but summer colds do that to me.
 
ALMI Ch 18 coming out tomorrow and 19 is coming along nicely. One of those chapters where lots happens and ties things together again, then throw a curve ball at the end, just to take it somehwere else instead for the next chapter. The readers said they liked the story, so I'll give them one.;)

Haha. Not Jack's fault. My guess is he was defenseless and you were draining.
 
Well, after my last Incest/Taboo story turned into a two chapter story - I feel as if I screwed up twice. Once, because after I submitted it, I went back to look at the Suvivor Contest rules and saw where chapter stories are not eligible. (And as I understand the rules, the includes the first chapter.) My second screw up was not posting the nearly 20K story as a novella, which would have knocked out a third of that category for me. Instead, Lit got a freebie from me (as if there are any other kinds).

So, my goal today was to finish the replacement story for that one, which I happily did, and submitted. So now the Incest/Taboo section is done until I cap everything else. Got a long way to go. Thinking I need a fetish story next.
 
Well, of the night... Just got in and moving from the mobile to the PC to get started on a few more scenes. Haven't been able to get back to the story I was working on. Just stuck at the moment.

Back from vacation, where I had planned on writing . . . but instead spent hours lounging on the balcony overlooking the ocean and playing cribbage with Mr. Tat.

So now that I'm back, it's time to make some progress. Hopefully I can get this damn story done for the summer lovin contest.

Not as quiet as exciting as playing cribbage, but close
 
Today I should either finish the first chapter of "Return of the Champion" or start on the prologue of "Guardian Prince of Aura", after I get home from work today, as I work 12 - 5.
 
About three quarters of the way done with Chapter 3 of New Life in a New World. Will try to get some forward progress this weekend so I can aim for a mid-July release.
 
Pounding the keys away happily, on Ch 19 of ALMI, the Top Lesbian story that just added my last chapter to the 5 of the last 30 days, taking most of those positions and confirmed a majority of the top spots in the last 12 months. Too bad scummies and scummies jr. can't say that. They can only feel jealousy and envy, that someone knows how to write a story worth those scores and they aren't even good writer to begin with.:D
 
I should probably work on what I was supposed to do yesterday, but with this heatwave, I doubt I'll get much writing done. :(
 
Working on a goofy story when I find a few minutes here and there. Sometimes after a long one like R&B, you need something short and silly.
 
My goal for today is to weave the word carbuncle into my story, somehow, without dulling the edge of an otherwise steamy sex scene. The heroine has several on her nether region, so it has to be mentioned.

If her partner kissed them and said they were beautiful, you could post it in Romance. :)
 
Everything I have completed is now posted. I'll spend the rest of the day going through my ideas folder and picking the next subject. Maybe by Tuesday I'll be ready to write again.
 
Last day of vacation, sigh. Should be doing laundry etc. during the kidlet's naptime, but writing is much more fun, and goes with my goal of staying indoors until the temperature drops below 100.

With luck, I'll get an entire first draft done. It might be a record for me in terms of writing speed.

Don't knock the cribbage! It's speedy, but great for math nerds like the two of us.

Of course, I mentioned our epic matches to a friend, and now all I can think of is her story of bringing a cribbage board into the room when giving birth to pass the time between contractions.

Not sure how I feel about that. Mr. Tat might have to let me win all the time if we follow her lead. ;)
