Eureka!
I think I finished the draft of my never ending story.
Not sure that I'm happy with the ending.Not only because I had to choose between three posibilities, but also because it seems a bit rushed. Also a tad bit of a loose end.

But I think that's true of many of my endings, which in the past has led to what started out as freestanding tales extending into a series. Don't think that I have the stamina to do that with these characters though. And at this stage, don't see wat more I have to say. The loose end could lead to some sex, but I think that I would fid writing those scenes to be mechanical and uninteresting. Or maybe because of my health, I just dont want to create to another long project, and ought to be content to try adding 3 more shorter pieces to get to my goal of 200 (before I die, though right now, none of the things fighting to kill me are winning so much as to make death imminent, just always on my mind, because, seriously, the next doctor appointment in a few weeks could always change that).

Just submitted the long story. Just under 20K words. Headed for Novels and Novellas, since it has a little bit of everything (well, no incest, no tentacle monsters, no crossdressing - okay, maybe not everything*).

Already about 3500 words into the next one, which is quite different from the long one, and seems to be pouring out of me just like a good whiskey pours into me.

* hmmm... I wonder if I can come up with a story that combines all those categories...

I finally snapped my near-two-month publishing drought and hit submit yesterday on my latest chapter! Kinda back in the groove of things, I think, so hopefully it won't be so long between this and the next one

Let me tell everyone who is blocked - I understand, I know the feeling, I have been there.

But the tremendous feeling when you finally submit makes forcing your way through the block all worth it.

and the publishing took place ... now to see how it does. It is over twenty years since I submitted to the Novels and novellas category, so both uncertain and curious about how it will do. In addition, the sprawling tale contains such a wide variety of kinks, becauuse I wanted to keep it fresh as it went on. and on. and on.

The newest WIP is already 5000 words long. Threatens to be another lengthy saga. Hope that it keeps flowing out of me steadily. If not, I'll be back to fretting...
