I have no clue what prompted this but why oh why must it get so ugly?
Perhaps WD has done wrong to you; i am not arguing that

he's always seemed to be the epitome of reason.
Can't you two simply talk about the difference quietly, in a corner?
This kinda thing never helps frther communication between two angry parites, darlin', a thing you know all to well, i think.

Darlin', i don't pretend to know or understand what the hell he's talking about, nor do i care.
I don't read or buy into the political threads very often, and don't spend time on those that are mean to other people.
I *do* care when people who are normally a lot of fun become so distraught and upset and angry that they lose the thread that ties us all together, that of caring and fun.
No one yelling at anyone else here will ever solve anything.
If he *is* being bad in the way you've described then maybe you're giving him just what he wants with your reaction? Maybe you're playing right into his hands with your yelling and outrage?
Maybe not.
Maybe i don't have a clue what i'm talking about.
But maybe i do.
In any case, are you helping the one you care about by acting in this way? Is there another way you can be as effectively outraged but be of more help to the friend you feel has been wronged? You have a good brain, girl... don't let anyone run you. Use that brain to act, not just react. That gives the other person all the power.
Now, it's been suggested that if *i* had a brain, i'd be running like hell now, so if you'll excuse me...

Siren, with all due respect, no one who wasn't part of the original debate has a place in this, now.
Some poeple come to these things looking for some kinda grisly spectator sport, looking for someone to be eviscerated.
If that's to happen, it should be by those - or the one other - directly involved, not as a result of a maddened crowd.
Please allow me to amend my plea:

Good advice, Siren. It takes all of about 15 seconds to ad him to your ignore list. You've made your point and now it's time to worry about your blood pressure. Add him to your list and let others state their feelings or ignore him as it suits them.
