(an an aside...imo the best limericks start with 8 syllables, but 7 or 9 is also fine. 10 doesn't work as the meter is then all wrong)
I don't agree with you on this one. Consider the following example:
She was firm, flirty, fine and near forty,
And though not disinclined to be naughty,
She expected her men
To be lusty, and then
To put up with her being all haughty.
Say, can you finish the poem by yourself if you do it a line at a time, and nobody seems to be involved.How do you folks stack your sentences instead of having them run the length of the box.
