Wow! really slow posting...

I submitted an incest story on the 15th and it hasn't posted yet. That's about 97 hours, much longer than usual.

It is just as I feared. It is almost noon on Saturday, my story has been up for several hours and has only been viewed by 2300 people so far.
The last story I submitted posted on a Thurs. and had over 9,000 viewers by this time.
Week-ends are not good.

I wish I had that problem. I only have three stories posted so far.

First (Group sex) came out on a Tuesday back in late August. It has a 4.55 score but only 20 votes and 7677 views.

My most recent story (Non-Human) posted on a Sunday (Dec 11) and has only 2811 views, but 42 votes for a score of 4.45. The views seem to keep slowly climbing, and very week or so I seem to get an extra vote or two.

I wonder why that is so different to you? New author? You are very popular it seems. category have something to do with it?

Whatever the explanation, all of my stories seem to start with a small rush of 1,000 or so very quickly, then a steady trickle after that. I wish we could tell how many of those views were actually indicating the person read the whole story. And methinks that little thought might have the most to do with variation that seems to occur according to the day it got posted.

This still hasn't posted, and it's about 105 hours now. This is an Incest story, with no reason for the slowness, and it is taking longer than anything I can remember that was copy and pasted and was not Illustrated or Audible.

Could it be that it's the holiday seasons and Laurel might have somewhat of a RL.

Not to mention the end of the year awards finally posted as did the Holiday Contest. Maybe a little break time or maybe too much eggnog.

That's what I figured. Slow posting times during the holidays is a small price to pay for the awesome site.

Also, running a porn site is not considered a RL these days? Huh, who knew...

Nice, mine posted a few hours after I put it on the thread, 4 1/2 days almost like yours.

I re-read the only other one I had pending, and decided to re-submit it since there could not be anything to lose. With my luck, it'll come out on xmas day.

They must have went in overdrive with posting the stories for today 12/21/11.
They posted 106 stories and 16 of them audio. That's an awful lot of stories. I'm guessing they caught up on back submissions. I started submitting a five chapter story on monday. I'll see how long it takes to start posting. Should run through the holidays. Not sure if that's good or bad. People will be busy but also a lot on vacation during that time.

Once again, I submitted my last story early Sunday morning. Here it is Thursday and still no post.
They posted my last story Saturday morning after 6 full days of pending and it got less than half the readership of it's predisesor.
Damn, I guess I'll have to wait until a Wed, or Thurs to submit so it posts during the week. Lead times seem to be getting longer and longer.

The first one is getting quite a bit of action, which figures, since it is an Incest story and a sequel to another that was quite well received. The second story was submitted over 90 hours ago, and is still pending.

Well I'm a little screwed. I submitted my latest story Wednesday hoping for tomorrow. IT is x-mas themed and will lose half its appeal if it posts day after x-mas. Either that or if it hits x-mas day I would not expect much for votes on that day.

Well that will teach me to adhere to a deadline. It should have been done a few days before that.

as for the delays I really feel that right now all their attention is focused on the android app, and they are neglecting the day to day operations a bit. But that's just a guess

It's Christmas. I expect a slowdown. (I'd even understand a suspension of posting.) A big slug of stories is still being passed through daily, so there must be a big backlog. I have a couple waiting to post that are going on five days now, which is highly unusual. But it's Christmas. Laurel deserves a break.

She does indeed and with my current submission being a bit delayed, hopefully that means less of a lag between that and the next. Which I should finish revising. Someday. Soon.

There's a slowdown, alright. The second story was posted just short of five days after submission. Both of these are doing well in terms of votes and PC, and score too, considering how many trolls are around.

My five chapter story hasn't started posting yet. I'm in no big rush but just letting other writers know there is a longer wait than usual. I was surprised to only see 16 new stories posted this morning. The other day there was 107. Must be getting caught up.
