go see a movie that you were not thrilled with only b/c it would get your S/O worked up afterwards?

I was not thrilled when Twilight came out but the girl I was dating at the time had a crush on Taylor Lautner and so I went. The movie was cheesy and the acting rather wooden but oh well It all worked out in the end.

I mean, I'd go see a movie I disliked only because my SO wanted to go. Life is a compromise. I don't need to get anything out of everything I do.

No, I haven't. I don't always like all of the movie choices my husband likes, and vice versa. Going to the movie is part of being a couple. Not everyone has the same tastes in entertainment. That's what compromize is all about. I doubt he's sat through Saw, Hostel, or other cheesy horror movies in hopes of fucking me. Then again, he pretty much can get it when he wants.*

Looks like I should read every reply before making my own. Great minds think alike! :)

yeppers. same deal here. this whole adulthood/marraige thing isn't what the recruiter promised. ;)

Acutally NO...been there done that. With the cost of shitty Hollyweird movies. it ain't worth it.
When I was younger and it cost me, maybe $25. total, and I was getting a handy in the theater then fucking, sucking and cumming on her face or at least in her mouth... worth it.

Well, in my relationship we both want the other to be happy. If there is a movie he wants to see (that doesn't interest me) we will go to the movie and I will be happy to accompany him in doing something that he enjoys. There is no need that I get laid afterwards. I enjoy seeing him happy. I love to be with him. We don't go to the movies very often so spending the time and money together to see something that is important to him makes me happy as well.

I was once in a relationship where everything was about "what do I get out of it?" It was horrible and he would only do things that I wanted to do if he thought he'd get something out of it. It was miserable.

Hi. This is why I asked the question and thanks for the replies for the most part. I could have done without some of LM's details as it was TMI imho. I need to clear something up. I was not expecting anything. It just so happened it worked out in such a way as both people were happy. She got to see the movie and drool over Lautner. I got to see an okay movie with the woman who at that time was the love of my life and got a little extra affection out of it. So it was a win-win situation.

Beck, did you mean klippert gave TMI? (not that I agree, but it seems like you mustn't have meant LM)

And I think your posts make it sound like a tit-for-tat because of how you phrased the op.

Otherwise I would say that yes ... it is very nice to go to a movie/ event you werent interested in for its own sake but to end up enjoying it (or the aftermath) ;)

Absolutely. Why do you think any guy sits through chick flicks? Perhaps somebody here should publish a list of the movies that women like and put them in the mood. It could be worth a gold mine. LOL!

Lol. That could be. Oh and I meant to say Klippert shared TMI imho.

Wonderfully put. :rose:

Hey now, some guys actually like "chick flicks." There was even one memorable occasion where a woman asked me to watch a romantic comedy with the sole intention of seducing me. I was actually the one arguing about wanting to see the rest of the movie first. :D
