I had a friend I met on the internet (not here) come visit me to see my graduation. We've been friends for almost seven years now. I think it was maybe three years of knowing him before he did, but he's a really nice guy :)

not in that case no, only someone that I had talked to for a very long time, had phone conversations with and was pretty sure that I knew him very well, but would only meet for first time in a public place(just to be safe)
 
Hell fucking no. People from teh intarwebs don't get invited to my house 'till I've met them in public first. That wouldn't be any different if they had high post counts, either... I mean, what, they're more likely to be for real and non-stalkery if they've spent more time posting on forums?

I have met 200+ people from Lit and survived. Most of them did too. I'll risk it.


For the record I have known Red Rose and met her in person years ago. I still have not let her in my house...
 
First time should always be public. Only once did I break that rule but we had chatted online/phone for a number of years. :D

I've been to both your houses. More than one house for each of you, even. Now that I think about it, though, I've never actually slept at Rosey's place.
 
Oh yeah, I answered "llama" because only true llama fans would be invited without a public meeting first.

I actually have been to a litster's house for our first meeting, but we had messaged extensively and I was escorted by two other friend's who'd been there before.
