Well, I have lived in both. I like the culture in cities, but hate the crime. I do like the comradarie of a small country town though. I grew up in two places. My parents have two houses. One in the country and the other on the island.

When the tourists came, I wanted so much to be in the country. Freaking kids trying to learn to surf and cutting in. Annoying customers at the restaraunt that I worked at and traffic. There is one road that streatches from the north side to the south side and two bridges. ugg.... When the tourists came, it was a pain to get to work.

Now I have to deal with people that don't know how to drive an 8 lane highway...

Alright. Telling too much info. LOL

Back to the question at hand. Depends on the time of year...

Been to both. Depends on the part of Florida. I prefer the pan handle. The Bahamas, as long as it is not Freeport. I would prefer Nassau. Much cozier over there.
