It would make life so much more interesting.
If I knew I was going to get run over by a car and then every time I made it across the road unscathed, I'd be full of high-fives and shit.

I think if I was going to know the how, it would have to be peacefully in my sleep or heroically rescuing a truck full of puppies and babies rather than impaled on a poisoned stake while being eaten alive by piranhas...
...I don't know what I'd do with either piece of information...live a better, fuller life? Or be plagued by fear and anxiety...that would rob me of the life I had now and I'm not sure I'm either strong or good enough to be able to make anything good out of it...
I've worked with people who have a terrible genetic disease, with a 50:50 chance of inheriting it, struggle with the decision to have blood tests to determine if they have it or not...and others who have continued to have children, despite the chance of giving them a legacy too horrible to contemplate, because they couldn't face up to the reality of the situation...
