This is what I would like to see.And TBH, I don’t mind if you have to resubmit, so long as they give you editable text and the edit gets processed as quickly as the original.

You should write more masochism-based stories. As a novice writer, the painful edits were actually good for me. It forced me to be a better proofreader.
Yeah - I don’t think bug fixes should be a premium feature.Oh and fix the damned preview so <blockquote> shows up properly. That should be for everyone, though.
Anything you would pay for?Okay. From your list of perks, the only one I would care much about is author editing without resubmission, and I don't consider it worth paying for.
The argument that is always put to anyone with any issue with the site is, “It’s a free site, ask for a refund.” The obvious rejoinder is, “But they are running a business.”
But… putting out money where our mouths are, would you consider paying a subscription to Literotica if it led to better conditions for authors?

That would be like Goodwill charging you to donate items. Not for readers, I assume free as now. I mean for authors.

Not sure that better conditions will be the outcome at all. My statement is not based on me being an author but rather a reader and when compared to another particular site names not mentioned which is also a paid site but has a free element, the feedback from authors is very much the same as those here on lit. But again, I make this comment not as an author as a reader. I’m all for whatever works happy to pay happy to not pay easy come easy goes. The argument that is always put to anyone with any issue with the site is, “It’s a free site, ask for a refund.” The obvious rejoinder is, “But they are running a business.”

I’m not proposing that readers pay.Not sure that better conditions will be the outcome at all. There is no ROI in posting our stories here. Our time is valuable.Nope- other than exposure, there is no ROI.
The most basic of things, right? If I did, I wouldn't want anything specific, I just want them to be responsive and communicative.
Ahh I see. My apologies then.I’m not proposing that readers pay.
No need to pay new staff. Just devise a system within which contributors can be promoted to administration. Many successful sites rely on volunteers to help run things.Bad idea. Now you’re telling me we not only have to produce the content the site sells, but also pay to do it? This model is backwards. Normally, large sites share their ad revenue with content creators rather than charge them. Don’t give them ideas. If they want to improve the quality of the site, Laurel and Manu need to run the business better. I can’t imagine why a site this popular can’t make enough money to hire a few staff.
I think we do get something in return -- readers' eyeballs. A story here may get 1000's of views. How much do you think a company would pay to get 1000's os people to read a few thousand words they wrote. Does anyone here have an alternative to getting those views? There is no ROI in posting our stories here. Our time is valuable.

Yeah, I don't understand why they're so reluctant to do so. I don't think finding volunteers is that difficult; I've seen more than a few people offering that kind of service.Just devise a system within which contributors can be promoted to administration.
YouTube pays its creators. What online site pays for stories/poetry/audio?
