Would you like to get to know me better?

I"m universally deplorable at figuring out if anyone on the planet really wants to get to know me, especially if it's not said right out.

So here's the place you can tell me.

If you don't want to get to know me, no biggie. It won't make me cry.

If you do, I'd love to know about it. I'm a fairly open guy who honestly does have a place in his life for good people.

We love you, Jim. Tell us more!:rose:

That just makes you human!

Nah. It makes me the guy who, in a couple of years, will snap and take out a whole city block with his sniper rifle. ;)

Jazzy you seem to me to be a hell of a guy. Kind, witty, fun -

damn I'd like to go out for a few brews with you - now that's my idea of getting to know a guy.

I've thought this same thing, Van, for a while now. I hope you find a way to spend a bit more time among us. The place is better when you do.

Van and Nigel....y'all truly are my boys! :D

sure Jim, I'd like to get to know you... maybe you can teach me some more about jazz and lead me to some good new music...

Jazzy, October 11th, Georgia Brown's

It's on my schedule. :)

I'm very much looking forward to it. Like, a whole lot!

Artemisia - I"d be more than happy to. If you don't mind my incessant ramblings about music and little trivia notes, then we're on! :)

Jimmy, I'd love to get to know you better. :) I'd really love to go for a few cups of coffee (not in a row, though.. I don't think I'd sleep again if I had more than one at a time) with you...

But I KNOW you knew that.

Indeed I did, and am quite glad for it. :)

Hi Jim...I'd like to know if you can hit a 1-2 slider on the outside of the plate the other way...?

Do you like shaved, trimmed or bushy on your women?

When was the last time you sang for an event, and what was it?

What color are your favorite shoes?

Do you know what "duck architecture" is?

Have you ever tasted your own cum?

Have you ever done a "Pays to enrich your wordpower" quiz?

What was the last magazine you read?

What was the last gift you gave?

Do you tithe and offer?

Have you ever had anything stuck up your nose?

Of course! You never try to pull a pitch on the outside unless you're leaning way over the plate. In that case, you're going to get beaned...:)

Good answer wise one...unless your facing Clemens or Pedro Martinez, then you will likely get beaned either way. On a lighter note, nice to meet you. I've read many of your posts over the past few months...some agree, some disagree, but that's the beauty of this place.

And just for your information, I pitched a couple years of college baseball...I was just looking for your weakness.

1) Shaved.

2) I sang last Christmas in front of the Alexandria Town Hall with some members of my chorus.

3) Brown. They're Earthshoes and they're great. :)

4) Nope. Are you making that up?

5) Yes I have. More than once.

6) Yeah. I used to work on them all the time, but I haven't for a while. I used to read all the funny columns there, too.

7) The Sporting News. I read that and Sports Weeklyh for my fantasy football teams.

8) I gave my buddy a CD for his birthday last month.

9) No, but I used to when I belonged to a church.

10) Yes. More things than I care to recall, actually.

No, it refers to the buildings that look like what they sell. It started in Long Island With a big Duck shaped building that sold them. The nickname stuck.

Thank kotori for that little tidbit in my memory bank.

It's great to meet you, too. I've noticed that we seem to popp up on the same threads. You're a good guy to post around.

My weakness? Well, I know that rarely is straight-away right field covered for a right-handed hitter, so I'm as likely to try to take one the other way, even for a pitch down the middle. If I were goign to get me out, I'd try to bust me hard inside and saw the bat off. I'd try to pull the ball, but if were at the right point in the count, I'd never see it coming and it'd handcuff me. ;)

I never played hardball (my school was too small for all the required equipment), but I played softball for a few years. :)

Okay, that's kind of a cool thing to know. :)

Cool, count me in!

Jim I always knew that you were a great guy, your above post just confirmed it! Don't change a thing.

And I second that post entirely!

Jazzy (think I prefer that to Jimmie)

So given that we can't go for a few brews for now can I ask a couple of questions?

OK

Favourite sport/team
What do you drink
Have any pets
Straight/Bi/Gay whatever?

And

You get to travel or not?

(dumb questions I know but, like you said, get to know you better :) )
