no, it's not a heart vs. brain matter. it's an "it's the holidays so I'm nicer to everyone" vs. "why should I give a flying fuck about this jackass" type of deal. I told him I'd have to think about it, and I'm half hoping he doesnt come back to ask me again.

I haven't ever given a second chance to an ex.. I guess there is a small chance I would depending on how badly I was the hurt the first time and if the ex does appear to have really learned her lesson.

But it's a small chance even then. One ex left me for another guy, stayed with him for two months before she realized she was being treated like shit, then came back to me saying she didn't realize how good things were. I told her she made her bed and now had to lay in it.

A few that I have broken up with have remained friends of mine.. so I don't give up on the friendship.. I just don't give them a second chance to hurt me.
