Would you do this? Part 2

Here's the story.

There was a story on Inside Edition tonight about this. Would you ever consider having your virginity restored surgically?

I don't think so. It's almost funny to think of myself as a 57 year old virgin. Then there's always a risk with any surgery.

Oh yeah, sign me right up. I'm with DGO and E, answer is NO.

No. I don't miss my hymen at all.

Because of my girthy ex-husband and two vaginal deliveries involving an episiotomy and a tear, postpartum sex after my two oldest kids were born was like losing my virginity all over again.

The born again virginity route is much less risky. Or so I've heard. :)

Not just no, but oh hell no! Why on earth would anyone want to do that again? Being a virgin, imo, isn't about a bit of skin, it's a mental thing as well. Until they can erase the memory, why would anyone want the pain?

What's the point? I've got 2 sons....anyone going to believe they were immaculate conceptions? :)

I can perhaps see why someone might consider it if they were young and their new lover was concerned aout her virginity....but I'm not that young and I'd be bothered with his over concern (in my estimation) about technical virginity.

Long answer to get to 'no'

I must concur with the others. No, no and no.

The part of the story that had me shaking my head was the fact that this woman had the surgery done as an anniversary gift to her husband.

I dunno. My first time was so forgettable, I can't even imagine wanting to do it again.

Let me ask the guys:

Is this something that would be, jeez, I don't even know how to word this... Is this something that would turn you on?

i agree mazuri. it's not just a physical state.

I just asked my husband:

Eilan: Would it turn you on if I got my hymen surgically restored?

maddbradd: Not particularly.

Eilan: Why not?

maddbradd: Why should it?

And there you have it.

Since it took so long for sex to feel good even after the hymen was long gone......hell no I wouldn't want that crap back!....I'll keep my more accomidating vagina!

i think all guys are turned on (at least a little) by the thought of taking a woman's virginity. i think, however, that in order to get the actual effect of this it can't be a middle aged woman with two kids and a minivan with bubble gum and dried ice cream stuck in the floor mats... it has to be an actual, naturally-occuring virgin.

I started a thread about this a few months ago, and it's just as confusing to me now as it was then. Most of these women seem to want to do this for their husbands? Why? I'm sorry, I agree with maddbradd, I find not particular turn on here. To me the only turn on to sleeping with a virgin would to be where no one else has been before, to be her first experience. Why would breaking a hymen on somewhere I've already been do anything for me, there's nothing new there except causing pain.

Nope, uh uh and no way, sheesh if you want to suprise him then do something new or different, just too weird.

Add two more kids, substitute mid-size SUV for minivan, and get rid of the gum (my kids can't have it), and I'd think you've been to my house! :D

Seriously, though--there was a guy who lived in my ex's dorm who was quite fond of having sex with virgins. After he'd gotten what he wanted, he dumped them.

sounds more like a surgery for an insecure man who wants to de-virginize his wife.

stupid idea to me...dumber than plastic surgery to make teh vagina look 'prettier'.

IMO the only ugly vagina is one that's over grown and covered in warts, acne, or boils.

no such thing as 'my labia are too big/fat/small/skinny' or other such nonsense.

After almost a year of no sex I think I could *almost* be considered a virgin again anyway LOL To answer the question: No absolutely not.

Hymen Restoration is a revered procedure going back several hundred years. The practice is more extensive than most people would guess and only in recent years has come out from back alleys and very amateur practitioners.

I can see why it's so extensive in some cultures. In the Middle East, the penalty young women pay for being non-virgins is harsh.

In Western culture however, here in this country, I vote an unequivocal no.

Yeah, right....

Why would I go through that again??? I like enjoying sex WAY too much, thank you, and it took such a long time after losing my virginity the first time. :D

I can think of a lot better things to do with 5 grand. You know a large plasma sxcreen TV would have the same effect and last longer....
