Would the US respond militarily if N. Korea tried to nuke us?

I have no doubt we could stop anything they might try to throw at us, but how would we respond? I don't think we'd even hit them with a limited conventional attack.

You think the massive US military presence around North Korea (nuclear and conventional) is just there for the Kimchi?

Kimichi smells bad enough by itself.

But running in formation behind someone that ate that shit would kill a elephant.

lol....it was #4

Let's see... there are 28,500 American troops in South Korea, the Seventh Fleet, that's another 40,000 personnel, 300 planes and 60 ships, and Fort Greely in Alaska has a couple dozen GBMD missiles ready to fly.

I think one of those guys might try something.

Miles really thinks the US military is there for the kimchi. He believes that Obama would not use the military even during a nuclear attack by another nation. You realize that this is what he actually thinks, right?

Nevermind that Obama attacked Libya for no other reason than finding their leader somewhat distasteful.

Obama attacked someone?...:D

This is only a fraction of the assets in the region - I've been there and seen them myself. Really dude, you have no idea. It's absolutely jaw-dropping what the US has positioned there.

Obama would be forced to respond with complete annihilation of the North if they attempted a Nuclear attack. Politically he would have to. Politically, China could not protest.

I guess the real question is;

Would it be so bad if LA was removed from the map?

And these were the people that' didn't attack the US.

I've already gone through that scenario bro. It doesn't work because Hawaii gets in the way no matter how you slice it.

I couldn't spot the submarines, so I didn't mention them.

I don't believe North Korea ever would. But I'm quite sure if it suited western politicians (or should that be bankers) that they'd have a sufficiently funded PR drive telling us its imminent and we must strike first and annihilate them.

To be honest, I had to look it up......this was interesting....

http://www.nytimes.com/2011/03/22/world/africa/22powers.html?_r=0

It seems as Obama did this on his own.....and both dems and repubs had a big problem with this. Looks like he had no constitutional authority to do this. (I wonder why not many remember this?).

Obama does not really seem to care that a Constitution is actually in place, for this country.....THIS is what scares those who do not support him. Right or wrong, it "looks" like he does whatever he wants.......

It just happened and you're already having to thumb through the annals of history to learn about it?

So Obama is such a warmonger that he's willing to blow up other countries for relatively modest reasons when we're not under attack. But contrary to this Miles thinks that if the US was attacked (with a nuclear strike at that), that Obama would do nothing. This means we have no other choice but to conclude that Miles is a fuckwit.

Agreed?

I would hope that Koreans,

Love their children too. because only a madman would submit his children to the horrors of Nuclear war.
