Worst score?

Lowest Rating: It's the only 750 Word story I've done and IMO, the challenge/contest isn't worth the effort.
Together Again Forever 4.16
750 words telling of twin's mutual love.
02/04/2019 in Incest/Taboo Stories

45 works total with the following less than 5 stars;
C&S Club Pt. 01— 4.44
C&S Club Pt. 05 — 4.46
Mountain Man — 4.46
Four Bi Swingers — 4.43
Cuckold Journey Pt. 03 — 4.42
I've seen this so many times before. I looked at your submissions list, and your success rate is truly impressive. You must know that, correct?

People with actual low scores usually, I guess, just go away or at least don't mention them.

You are right, the eyeroll was gratuitous. But it's easy to feel ignored around here.

Apology accepted, and apology tendered.
Definitely wasn’t ignoring on a person by person basis.

But I must confess - I saw a busy thread, and I did not read all the posts. Usually if I reply it’s to a shorter thread or one where I’ve read all the posts, at least all the nonwots. (A new word I invented, non-walls-of-text.)

In this case maybe I read the first post, then scrolled, skimmed, and scanned, and replied. So a bit guilty, but of equally ignoring everybody, not any one person! ;-)

I probably chickened out and I'm just going to PM him. No point in walking blindly into a zombie horde. "Hey, they used to be human, they're not going to bite me." Well, yeah, I could just make the comment anonymous; I never thought of that because I've never done it before.
Is the original poster even in here anymore?

I'd like to know what he said, although it seems impossible to remember. It sounds like a story idea, about a writer who is not only a prolific story teller but also is prolific on the forums. (That's all I've got, so I don't think I'm writing it myself any time soon.)
He posts, but not that frequently (3 posts all of 2022 and one of them in an AH thread which was all of four words. 3 posts in 2021 none here).
Let's face it, you don't get to over 3500 stories while putzing around the boards.

I don't think he'd be a regular contributor here anyway, his posts-now that I've looked through a bunch are limited to a few words each, and that's it, a post and gone. Doesn't seem to be one to argue or discuss, makes his point and see ya.

He continues to be my role model.

Maybe I'll send him a private feedback and tell him that....and he'll be like....and you're who and I should care why?

I didn't mean the original poster on this thread, I meant the guy who put his first ever Lit story into Loving Wives three days ago. He joined the site about six days ago. Him I did send a PM to. Basically I told him the nature of the category and that he should not be discouraged by the nasty comments he got. Since he was trying to start a series, I suggested that Chapter 2 should go in another category.

P.S.: His score is now at 2.77. Yet he got a couple of positive comments today too.

3.75 is not that bad, especially for Loving Wives. I've got a 3.42 and a 3.44 on my two forays into there. Some of the comments, however . . .

Oh my comments section under it are pretty eclectic.

I had people who hated it, people who loved it, and people who loved it for all the wrong reasons lol.

SPOILER ALERT: A character is killed, and there was a raging difference between readers who felt my story was "Murder Porn" and those who thought the cheating wife should have caught a bullet, too.

So yeah, a 3.75 rating is pretty respectable considering how controversial such a short, simple story turned out to be.

Some authors deliberately write and post bad stories in categories where the readers tend to get easily angered - Loving Wives the obvious one, Incest Taboo another - hoping to get negative reviews and low scores.

My lowest score is also my best story, in my opinion. It's in Loving Wives, and it got jammed because the cheater got away with it. But like others have said, some very good writers have given it high praise, and that takes away the sting of the trolls who don't rate a story on the way it's written.

It's all good!

My consistently worst are two I wrote before 2002 - Stag party on 3.13 and Hen Party on 3.21. I have contuinally thought of rewriting them but can't be bothered.

Read the second chapter of a story yesterday, in the LW section, though it should have been IR. The first chapter was kind of unique, with a few twists, and was rated in the low 4's (I gave it a 5). In the second chapter, the author totally went off the rails, and the current rating on it is about 1.3, and I gave it a 1.

Again, the porn factor, which has ruined a lot of both LW and IR.

Absolutely, I've had people admit that they do it for the sheer fun of it. It's a form of trolling, arguably. Especially in Loving Wives, it's like being on a bridge and throwing - ah, whatever - into a horde of zombies below and seeing how they react.

The most popular highest rated stories are the worst. Idiotic unrealistic nonsense from porn addicted morons. The lowest rated stories usually have the ring of truth about them - consequently people hate them for this quality.
P.T. Barnum (I think it was him) is alleged to have said, "No one ever went broke underestimating the tastes of the public."

Some have thousands of views with no favorites or comments.
There's surely some with no votes either. I was in that situation for a while until I got one vote. Animal House again: "Daniel Simpson Day: has no grade point average. All courses incomplete."
