I know I'm not the only GLBT online gamer in the world, but it really does start to feel like I might be. I've been playing MMORPGs for a couple years now on the role playing servers. Since I am a bi female it has just been easier for me to go ahead and play straight characters as there really is no shortage of straight men in game, but after awhile I began to want to indulge my bi side a little more and looked for other bi/lesbian female gamers, which has been a very painful and slow search.

Since I'm sure there are other gay/bi players in WoW with the same problem as me, gaydar doesn't work very well in MMO's, and you'd like to try meeting someone through here we could use this thread as a way to meet up with potential gaming partners.

I play WoW on the Role Playing servers, almost entirely Scarlet Crusade, if any bi or lesbian females are also playing there drop me a PM and let me know if you'd like to talk sometime.

If anyone else would like to post their personal here as well, please feel free. This is kind of a long shot, but it's worth a try.

There seriously aren't any gay/bi gamers besides me?

*raises her hand*....hello.....I play on Kel' Thuzad! And yes i'm bi, but in game im usually just killin' shit.....I flirt once in a while when one of the cute nightelves comes on to me..but they're always guys..lol

and another thread that proves to me that World of Warcraft isnt exactly the best of 'mmorpgs' ... not to start an aurgument.

i came from playing mmorpgs from Dark Age of Camelot and Everquest. and there where lots of bi/gay circles in those games. i personaly think that world of warcraft appealls to a Too Young audeince for you to acctualy find some one. (its too cartoonish for me. hence why i never got it)

I have never tried WOW but I have been hearing good things about it. I used to be a die-hard Everquest Player but I left the game (I had a level 58 Druid with her Epic Piece even!) when they "Improved" the game beyond my computer specs at the time. I've even created a blog about it.
I have since started up with Morrowind (I LOVE The Mods people have created for the game including the Nude mods, prostitution, etc) but it is not an online game and so you're pretty much playing alone. Diablo II is okay but it's not very user-friendly in so far as an on-line roleplaying game in my opinion (The dialog covers the action on the screen so you can't see what's going on..not to mention the spammers)
It is nice to know that I actually might run into other women for a change if I do take up WOW

:)

I think the main problem with finding other women in WoW is the sheer volume of players. It is currently the highest population MMORPG in the world, my "low population" server has between 17k-18k registered characters. I even know a few lesbian gamers, the unfortunate thing is they aren't role players, and they're the kind of people I wouldn't associate with even if someone were paying me.

I think my friends and I did the math on it once. If there are 5,000 active players at any one time, and 12% of those are female gamers, and 10% of a population is gay/bi, then 1.2% of the server population is gay/bi women meaning at any one time there are 60 gay women playing WoW on my server. When you consider how big the servers are, how many men play female avatars, and that those numbers are the best possible scenario then it becomes kind of a needle/haystack situation, which is why I'm posting this here.

hello..
I play WoW too, on Shadowsong server.. L60 NE war shelara. but im a guy, and im sorta along the lines of a princess.

It is true... most men like to play female avatars to look at them all the time..from the rearend.

But unlike most.. guys... I really have an ulterior motive for playing a female avatar...

the chances of partying with a person older than 14 is slim
the chances of partying with a person who is truly a girl, older than 14.. is very slim..
the chances of partying with a person who is gay is way slim.

heh, i have a close friend that plays world of warcraft and says it sucks, its ungodly beautiful and is soooo pretty, but it sucks gameplay wise. lol also said if things like everquest (the orginal) or darkage of camelot ever got onto the same bar as wow for graphics WoW would instantly die since alot of hard core mmorpgers i know only stay because every one is there and its the best looking game.

in any mmorpg is hard to find... any one of Any orintation except for straight males. (which there are plenty of those) finding females is a hard enough thing to do, and often ive ran into a guy playing a girl avatar so that guys would hit on him since he was bi/gay.

but for the most part those % are usualy wrong. in my experence, daoc had lots of female players. but most of them played as Guy charicters so the guys wouldnt hit on them and they could go out and play the game.

and a quick question for all of yall. you have to pick a healer. you got a choice of a elf healer that looks sexy or a dwarf healer. which one would you pick?

Go dwarf for fear ward, it's a huge boon fighting Magmadar in MC. besides you'll attract all the freaky chicks :) this 24 hour downtime today sucks.
