WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said the United Nations health agency has repeatedly called for the heads of state to lead a "whole of government" response to COVID-19 and said Trump was leading by example.

"That's exactly what he's doing, which we appreciate because fighting this pandemic needs political commitment," Tedros said during an afternoon press briefing in Geneva.

Taiwanese officials had alerted WHO about the new virus end of December.

But WHO officials dismissed them and preferred to succomb to the political pressure of Chinese officials,
who see Taiwan as part of it's territory and don't want to give it a voice.

WHO considered the new virus only After China contacted them on January 20, thus the world lost a whole month of vital time.


One can excuse WHO's soft approach to COVID since Jan.20 (quarantine instead of reccomending closing national borders with China)
but one can't excuse their politically motivated dismissal of Taiwan's concerns.

The Trump haters can blather all they want and stew and bitch about "Trump bad" and pout and stomp their little feet all over their mommy's basement floor. But very few people are listening to all this Russia bullshit and Impeachment bullshit and Trump is to blame for the China Virus bullshit. Enough is enough. Trump's handling of this nightmare is historically great and in November I would not be surprised if he wins in a historic landslide.

Well, I softened my view of Trump after talking to friends in the US (who hate his guts otherwise). They said that they see him as doing the best he can.

But he should stop talking smack about the virus or things that are not his domain.
Honestly, every time he talks about covid or health matters he says the most jaw-dropping things,
