Those of you who have been working from home the past almost three years after being office people. How do you manage it, the quiet, the not having to put ourselves together.

Have you increased your mischief during the day to bring joy. I’d like to hear how others are managing this now that it’s the new normal.

I’ve only just started tbh, I’m loving it so far. I should work a full day and don’t generally. And I get to play and go to the gym when it’s quiet while being paid

If the kids weren’t home I’m pretty sure that afternoon delight would be on the menu some days.

my kids are out during the day, so I’m free to find myself joy when time allows.

I've worked from home for over a dozen years. Love the work/life balance it provides. And yes... It is far too easy to engage in play during the down times. And like @may_I_please, I'd like a pussy to be involved and not a hand.

There is something wonderful about turning up to work naked or sitting in a boring call fully aroused. I love WFH

Laundry, cooking, working out are all a lot easier... oh is that not the mischief youre talking about?

I always have music or a podcast on so its not quiet. I like staying in workout clothes or pjs all day.

Been on WFH since March 2020. It has been nice on the occasional lunch break to enjoy myself, but most of my time is working on one monitor and a video game, or other personal posting stuff on the other. I have even taken a nap before, which was really nice and felt decadent.
I love a 30 second commute in jammies over a 90 minute+ drive and dealing with traffic and laundry and meals.

It seems you and I have the same pattern, well except napping, I’m terrible at napping.

Today is a WFH day with limited meetings. How to enjoy this………

I've been working from home for... Well, since I joined Lit in 2001. Woeked foe a company for a while, then became an independent contractor and writer.
It would be difficult to go back to working for someone else or in a professional setting.
Work-life-play balance is an ongoing process, especially when others are at home. Luckily, I have an office with a door...lol
The hardest part when working from home and working for myself is walking away or holding any kind of normal hours. It gets better, then gets out of whack., then gets better again.
It's always a work in progress.
