I actually have this application on one of my blogs and I love looking at the new word each day, some I know, some I don't and so I learn something new.....I think its just a great way to expand your vocabulary.

I know there is another type of word thread but to be honest I was never quiet sure how it worked *smiles* and I am hoping this is different enough that there is room for two.

Now you may add your own words to this thread but please make sure you follow the same post setting as I use.


Untiring (adjective) Characterized by hard work and perseverance.
Synonyms: hardworking, industrious, tireless.
Usage: He was an untiring fighter for justice, democracy, and tolerance.
 
I am doing a couple as I am going to be away for awhile, but as I said feel free to add your own.

satori \ suh-TOHR-ee \ , noun;
In Zen Buddhism, the state of sudden indescribable intuitive enlightenment.

Synonyms: enlightenment, understanding.

Usage: Jitka's hands, which were holding the worn and contemptible shorts, dropped when she saw in the eyes of her husband a reflection of her satori , or rather anti- satori , since it was icy and grim . . . My God, how we're living.

To silently move the lips in simulation of audible speech.

Synonyms: Mutter
