Do you have problems is X's built-in FTP using the connect to server command? I can go to my webspace, copy to my HD, but not upload.

That the same for you? Maybe your MacOUS X is different.

I've had no problem using the Terminal ftp command to copy to my webspace.

What syntax are you using?

OMG! GeekSpeak *SWOON*

*nauraa*

Ok, I'm going, I'm going... *sigh*

I suppose it'd help to actually finish typing what I meant to...

You should use something like:
Code:
[localhost] user% put local/path/here/file.ext ftp.server.path/here/file.ext

What errors are you getting?

EDIT:
OK, can anyone spot the error..?

Anyone?

I went to class...

I'm not using terminal.

Hit command-K in the finder and put in an FTP addy...

Some day it'll upload.

And yes... it works for the network here ;)

I must say I haven't tried it that way. I'll give it a go and get back to you.

OK, So I've had a look at the Cmd-K route... and I haven't had much luck with it either. Further investigation needed, and certainly not using a modem.

Yes Spin, SMB support has been a bit flakey (though I never had a problem with it) up 'til now. But with 10.2.4 it broke completely! This is a bit of a bugger but in the seed notes on the ADC they're saying a fix will be out (10.2.5, no doubt) in the next 14 days.

10.3 ("Panther") looks as if it'll have some fantastically wonderful features, such as clustering at the kernel level... (though probably only easily configurable on the Server version)

Oh, and the Terminal ftp commands really do work fine. Try them... ;)
