Those two were scared shitless, but she'll never live long enough to scare the enemy, dumb as she is.

She throws like a girl.

Is that actual military or some militia/paramilitary outfit?

In the Corps you toss practice grenades on the practice range before anyone hands you a live one. Guess the Army doesn't give a shit.

I was wondering about that. Give her a rock.

After that those two are the ones who will make sure she's the first to have an unfortunate accident down range.

Limp wristed pen pushers in DC and play all the PC fuck fuck games they want...you and I both know when the meat hit's the metal weak ass shit is not nor will it ever be tolerated.

They used to do that in the army too...guess it wasn't "fair" to the girls.

Don't they teach non-combat personnel basic weapons use too? Haven't they always done that? Is this supposed to be training of a woman for combat?

I used to be an instructor on the grenade range, there's a strict procedure for the handling of live grenades, you know like...Look at me Private! This here is a live grenade, when I tell you to "pitch grenade" you throw it hard and far, do you understand? take grenade! Remove safety clip! Grasp pin firmly, twist and pull! Pitch grenade! Get down!:D

"LOOK AT ME PRIVATE!" Lmao!

Yea they don't fuck around in training...at least they didn't...

Down range they stopped handing them out to all but staff NCO's after mid 05'

But 01-05...holy fuck we had so many of frags/HEDP rounds for OIF/OEF- I-IV....shit we even had claymores on the first trip to Afghanistan, those are fun.

We fixed all our problems with "Frag out" and just in case that didn't cut it there was an F/A something or other on standby ready send 500-2000lbs of laser guided jihad up Haji's ass. A-10's were my favorite....WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA....

If that was real, you know she probably got the shit slapped out of her. A man certainly would have. She definitely got slammed into that hole.:D

No no no....PC..."Assisted to the ground" :D

I used to yank fuck up's around by the chin strap on their K pot's. I was a pretty laid back NCO...but when it came to safety I would absolutely destroy someone's face/career to the full extent that every stripe could offer me if they endangered themselves or those around them. Never once caught any shit for it either....though I would probably be the most decorated E-1 right now just itchin' for an E4 to try and lock me up had I not been retired. :D

Sure scares the shit out of busybody, and he's never been close to combat.

In Vietnam depending on the size of the movement, every Marine carried at least two grenades, half a bag of C4, two 60mm rounds, a LAW Rocket, extra radio batteries, 14 to 20 loaded M-14/M16 mags, three canteens minimum, sufficient rations, deuce gear, somebody had DET cord and blasting caps, every third man carrying extra belted rounds for an M-60. In short Marines are pissed off beasts of burden that are hard to lick in the field. :D

Ahh...I was always Airborne/Air Assault Infantry...light leg's man...

18-20 mags on your vest/drop leg...buddy mag's on the back of your armor + assault packs put most guys in the 30-40 mag range. 1800-2000 worth of nut sacks per SAW(these guys were hurting pretty bad on long hauls in Afghanistan)..5k for the 240 between the entire gun team.

M9, 4 mags in pouches, 1 in the well.

2 Frag's 4 flash bangs 2 smoke, camel back, 10lb worth of various batteries, Night vision, 1 MRE broken down,

Radios radios and more fuckin' radios.

Plus whatever knives or sharp objects to score hand to hand kills with you felt like humping for the next few days.

I'd like to see that little honey who fucked up the frag chuck, loaded down like we used to be then go play vertical billy goat in 100 degree heat and 90% humidity hunting down Mr. Charles.:D.

Shit would weigh more than she does lol.

You guys had it pretty tough too.:)

Eh...we had our shit to deal with.

Marines would go on some LONG patrols from what I understood.

We had some mean ones but most of our operations were smash and grabs, ambushes, playing fuck fuck games with the baddies in the cities, forest and mountains. Most everything was air insertion of some kind...hit our objective and pound dirt to the exfil. Even most our patrols had pretty specific intents....

Downside? Man we were always getting into some shit....contact every fuckin' time, our ammo expenditure was phenomenal.

After things chilled a bit and we started in with that hearts and mind's bullshit Iraq went to all fucking hell....

"Hey guys...go drive around in this giant loud as hell coffin and get blown up!"

Fucking things are death traps....bomb magnets.

Never had or received anything but total professional respect from the USMC guys, didn't see them on my first trip to Afghan, but we worked with them a number of times during the Iraq invasion and again in a later afghan deployment....when it hits the fan Marines are every bit the warrior pedigree claimed and their reputation as such is well deserved.

Now I know 90% of the Army isn't as "Hard" as the USMC....and I agree 90% of the Army is a bunch of fuckin' pussies. However, the 18th ABN corps, 75th Ranger Regiment and SF....Rollin just as hard baby...:D Different missions for sure, but none of them are for the weak or fainthearted :D

Geezus...

...walking into this thread now must be like walking out of an gay X-rated theater after the late showing on a Saturday night.

Is the friggin' mop-up dude dead or sumtin?

I worked with my spotter, and on occasion a dog handler. Loved the dogs in the jungle. All you had to do is watch the dog.

Didn't use all that much ammo.

Ishmael

Our daily patrols were small unit snoops and poops, intelligence gathering, nightly ambush patrols, and search and destroy missions, 2 to 5 clicks outside the wire depending on where we were. We had....

I know a lot has changed but it's funny how little it has changed as well...

When I hear Vietnam vets talk it makes me think of/sounds so similar too Afghanistan.

Iraq? That was a whole new ball of bull shit.

Heavy urban combat...civilian manned insurgency of religious nuts with a death wish...it was a sad sad horrible place to be man. Afghanistan was fun by comparison...bunch of guys with guns going to party in the valley to see who wins the game tonight. Iraqi's send their 6 year old up to you with a soccer ball full of C4/Nails and blow everyone to hell....slimy fucking cowards.
