RAMALLAH, West Bank, Sept 20 (Reuters) - Palestinian Prime Minister-designate Ahmed Qurie told a Palestinian newspaper that the White House stance on Palestinian President Yasser Arafat was "regrettable" and harmful to a peace process with Israel.

These remarks came on the heels of President George W. Bush latest speech in which he refered to the Palestinian as "sort of an ugly little fucker". Arafat told reporters in response to the Bush remark, "Fuck him and the Chainey he rode in on!"

Meanwhile Secretary of State Colin Powell, vacationing at Martha's Vinyard, was quoted as saying, "This hurricane - this Isabelle - is another attack by El-Queda forces on soveriegnty of America." After being informed of Bush's comments, Powell's only remark was a somewhat cryptic, "Fuckwit!".

The drug interdiction budget this year for South America alone, primarily Columbia, was in the neighborhood of 3 billion dollars.

I think there are few here that would disagree with the belief that such a hugh amount of money could be better spent. Education comes to mind.

But the drug war with it's first serious federal support during the Nixon years has grown so large, become such a hugh bureaucracy that now there is vested interest. People are making a great deal of money within this bureaucracy, paying for large homes, boats, vacations and expensive lifestyles. These people are not going to give up their piece of that 3 billion without a fight. And they will fight visciously.

But that doesn't mean the voice of sanity can't be heard. Der Fuhrer is loosing his charm.

(Moscow) AP Ballerina Anastasia Volochkova waddled into court today to files suit against the prestigious Bolshoi Ballet. The suit alleges that ballet company management made disparaging remarks about Volochova's big fat ass.

Outside the courthouse Volochova commented to reporters, "J Lo has a big ass. She's a beautiful woman with a big ass. Just because mine is even larger and more beautiful than J Lo's they have slandered me. I don't feel it's really all that big." After her remarks, Ms. Volochova was hoisted by crane into a specially built step van for the return journey to her Dacha outside Moscow.

Officials of the Bolshoi were contacted for comment but but no meaningful quotes were immediately available due to the excessive laughter while pointing at photo's of Volochova dressed in a tutu.

BAGHDAD, Iraq (Reuters) -- A U.S. soldier shot dead a rare Bengal tiger at Baghdad zoo after the animal injured another soldier who was trying to feed it through the cage bars, the zoo's manager said on Saturday.

Pvt Edward Dimwit and several other soldiers broke into the Baghdad zoo after hours to drink beer and party with a couple of the local "entertainment girls" from the USO last night. Pvt Dimwit, assuming that the tiger was hungry stuck his hand inside the animal's cage while holding a Big Mac. After along sniff the tiger decided he didn't really care for the offered "fast food" and preferred Pvt Dimwit's arm instead. After the tiger bit off one finger to "taste the waters" so to speak and mangling Dimwit's arm fellow partiers decided to put the "cannibalistic animal" out of it's misery.

In an interview with the zoo's manager, Mr. Abul Asahad, reporters were told the animal was indeed hungry, having not been feed any soldiers for several days. The "tasting" was not unexpected. "However, euthanizing the animal was carrying things a bit far, in my opinion. Especially considering the 4863 bullet holes in the body."

A Department of Defense spokesman in Washington remarked, "This was another unwarranted attack on our troops by old guard Saddam supporters, put down by our heroic soldiers." Further the spokesman stated that a large cache of small arms were discovered in the animal's cage along with evidence of the weapons of mass destruction sought for so long by US forces. "This could be the big break we've been waiting for," the spokesman stated.

At press conference at the White House, Sam Donaldson queried President Bush about the incident. President Bush's comment was, "Iraq? Is that a new Japanese car?"

Dimwit is reported resting comfortably after surgery in a U.S. Army Medical Center for the Unbelievably Stupid.
