Please accept, for the moment anyway, my opinion/definition that if you are male, and are sexually interested in cocks, you are NOT straight. Yes, I'm including those who have never acted on this desire...

But my question is, with that definition in the background, is there even such a thing as a straight cross dresser? A lot of women seem to think/hope that is the case, and I think some totally straight guys that are non-judgemental also think that. But do such guys even exist?

I started out thinking that the dressing up was great and sexually exciting in and of itself, and that had nothing to do with my desire for women. But that soon proved not true...the moment a guy came over to play dress up....

So, are there even really such people, or is this an elaborate 'beard' myth?

I think for many their sexuality and preference is not directly connected to their clothing

I think its a myth. If you enjoy dressing and acting fem then you probably want to be treated that way and if so, you are not straight. you are probably bi, assuming you have an interest in playing with a woman. Because I enjoy dressing and being treated as a slut by men, makes me at least bi.

transformational

...if a man pulls on net pantyhose, the debate is not whether he has inclinations, but whether he will follow them to a fulfillment...for many, sexual orientation is a choice of social conformity...wearing panties, nylons, make up for the first time becomes a powerful revelation

It's funny, I still consider myself a straight cross dresser, even though I suck cock.

I'm not attracted to men at all; if I could suck my own cock I would. But then, I'd never get anything done... ;)

Cross dressing

Not all cross dressers are gay but some of them feel that they are born in the wrong body and enjoy the gender bender.

Of the crossdressers that I know, and I know several, most are married to woman and are self professed straight.

Of the statistics that I am aware of, the numbers are pretty much in line with the general population. Being a crossdressers and being straight or gay are different things.

I've been on crossdressers.com and its actually very prudish, very little talk on the subject of sex.

I come from the opposite end of the spectrum; I do it for dirty thrills and sexual excitement!

Not attracted to men in any way. For me it's more like I'm worshipping femininity... I actually want to be that little porn girl, feel what she feels. I could never get hard enough to put my cock in another man!

Wow. Your mileage may vary, as they say...

I started out thinking my cross dressing was cool and exciting, and I only was into girls. That changed pretty quickly, as cock has magnetically called to me, like a spider to a fly, and I swear I went decades thinking other guys cocks were uninteresting.

I know two crossdressers and both are straight.
Neither has the slightest interest in being with men.

I like to wear my wife's panties when jacking off... sometimes, I think about sucking a cock. Maybe one day I will act on it!

I'm not much surprised that CD's are mostly straight or at least have the same percentage stats for sexuality as the rest of the population. I'm not sure still if CDs just like the clothes, or like being seen as women or if they want to be women at that moment - it's probably a bit of each.
The cock-worship thing has been discussed endlessly and I don't want to derail the thread by going there. I think I'm bi but contrary to what the cock-centric people say, I want the hairy man first and the cock is just part of the package: I can't separate the two

Personally, I believe that we're too focused on labels. Honestly, they're for soup cans. Labels should not define who we are. We are more than what society's arbitrary compartmentalization categories say we are.

That being said, I do believe that both gender and sexuality of fluid for some. Maybe for some they're tied together, for some they are not. Perhaps dressing up for some offers an escape for the stresses of their daily lives. Perhaps others feel that dressing in clothes of the opposite gender helps align physically what they feel that they are spiritually.

Follow your heart and you'll never go wrong.

i wear panties and im 80% straight

See, this is why the stats on this are very murky. Underlying all this is the statistically significant slice of guy who wear panties, or some other indicia of fem clothes, hair, nails, etc., but yet self identify as straight. You guy see on Squirt or another site, and there are lots of guys looking to get their dicks sucked or fuck in the ass, but still identify 'straight' as what is most really known as as I think of at least as bi - 'top'.

For argument sake, take every one of these alleged straight guys who still want to suck a cock, or get sucked by a guy, and you get, what I think are a total small percentage of CD who should still think thei are striaght.

I would agree with this statement. I would guess (and I'll admit that maybe I'm completely wrong), that maybe those guys that like to dress up and and and want to suck a cock/get sucked are just too afraid to admit that there's an underlying issue going on. At the very least they're bi (in my opinion), and they're just terrified to face that fact simply because of society. Maybe they are married and they don't want to lose what they've built? Maybe they get married thinking those desires will "go away"? I get what you're saying though, it's very hypocritical. I think people are just too afraid to face truth sometimes.

I can't tell you how many transgender sites I've been on where guys post "looking for FtM transgender" and then under sexuality they put "straight".

Kinda confused on that one. Do they want someone like me because they feel "not gay" if we were to "hook up" because I'd be dressed like a woman but I still have something extra? Do they think that can "keep them closeted"? I don't know, as I've never gone that last step and actually met anyone using those sites.

I don't have any answers, Frodo, but I can speak from the heart when I tell you that I find women absolutely beautiful, but I also shave my body hair, paint my toenails and dress en femme whenever I possibly can, and I'd give anything to live my life as a woman and happily be married to a man. Does that make me bi? Gay? Straight because spiritually because I'm a woman?

I don't know. I just want to be happy. I think deep down so do those people, and maybe they're just too scared to try and take that step.

Just be who you are. No fear
No fear?! You gotta be fucking kidding. Fear stalks the lives of trans women every day and not without good reason.
What you've said Jack, is addressed to men who can hide their sexual desires behind a facade of being straight because they have that choice. I know you well enough to know you're a good guy, but it's exactly that kind of laissez faire that gets laws passed that specifically target transgender people under the masquerade of "looking after our women-folk". Well, like it or not, trans women are women-folk too. Too many people look the other way as laws get passed, or actually abuse gay people in public while they get off to it online.
We don't control who or what we are attracted to - we can only deny those desires if we choose. I don't much care about this or that percentage of CDs - it's only a passing interest. What I do care about is when people get murdered and beaten up because they are gay or lesbian or trans or just present in a non-conforming way.

But hey, we're talking about cross-dressers here and now I've gone off at the deep-end
I'm sorry Jack, this isn't aimed at your personally, I'm just having a pop at people who are hypocritical and who shut the door in the face of trans or gay people as soon as things get uncomfortable - I know you wouldn't do that. Cross dressers rock, but 'no fear'? Don't say that - it's kinda triggering
Sorry :rose::rose:
