Wish me luck!

Here's the throat chakra~

Finding anatomical reference for the throat/larynx is way harder than I would have thought.

Also, I can't wait to scan these instead of showing you guys disgracefully shoddy photos.

These are my new favourites

Thanks guys~

Here's the third eye for ya. I think this one is the best one out of the bunch so far.

Well, I did my final crit this past wednesday, and it went really well. While still not done (planning on having them finished by wed even though the class is over), the professor loved them and actually kept me after class for half an hour to talk about the possibility of doing more with them, like submitting to art publications or inserting narrative elements and the like.

Anyways, this isn't done. I gotta put a purple fill on my hair, and buy some cel vinyl tomorrow so I can paint the chakra symbol on a sheet of acetate and stick it in front of the art. (And also do this with all of the other illustrations. I'm abandoning the solid paper symbols.)

-whew-

I'm also still trying to figure out how to do the root chakra. It's practically done, but doesn't look right. I'll work on it some more and show you in a bit.

They're fantastic. I would leave it at that except you're good to the point where I won't...

Something to think about - the second revelation seems like more of a revelation because what's there is not exactly as expected - looks like things are missing.

Not sure if that's part of the intent or not.

(eta ok I just saw the third, they get progressively more interesting/macabre)

Thank you! And i HIGHLY encourage critique of any sort. ;)

I noticed the same thing as you did once I started doing more of them, and realized that this was because of all the plain, bare skin. Theoretically speaking, it's somewhat appropriate for the first two (the root is even more simple than the sacral illustration), because they supposedly deal with simpler and more basic concepts than the others. The root being "I am" and the sacral being "I feel". The solar plexus and onward are associated with more complex emotions and actions.

Unfortunately, all the theory in the world can't make a bad drawing good, so I'm still going to have to go back and rethink them a little. I've actually worked on the sacral illustration a little since uploading that photo. I'll share them again once they're all "complete".
