A couple days ago, Rob and I both wondered how T-day would effect the numbers. Things might still change, but it seems like votes and views drop off to practically nothing during the last half of T-day week (Thurs-Fri-Sat-maybe even Sun). My Group Sex groper piled up over 20K views in the first couple of days. Since then the number of new views per day and fallen way, way off like everyone else is reporting.

That's okay if your story has already qualified and has a respectable score, but otherwise could be a real downer since, once a story's week on the NEW list is over, votes usually dry up. Of course, there's no guaranteed relationship between views, votes, and score.

Sophia Jane, it really is too early but from my casual check of a few categories, several in Romance and a couple in Non-Erotic seem to be doing well. BUT, all that is subject to so much change between now and the end of voting. Odds are at least one of the final three top stories still hasn't been posted. Maybe it'll be Rhys'.

But seriously Aurora, it's why some folks, such as Zoot, Ogg, and little old moi, have entered contests they weren't eligible to win. The usual rule is a winner is ineligible to win a contest for the next six months. Laurel suspended it for this one.

Regarding the stagnant votes...MANY people go away or are busy this holiday weekend. My prediction is....starting tonight and going right into early December, things will pick up. Also, with my stories at least, there has not been the kind of sweep where say, an entry can go from 4.40 to 4.70 in one day. Perhaps Laurel is waiting to the very end to do this....good idea actually, to give the trolls less time to reload. Sack

SJ, of those three, I'd say Zoot has the best shot. With a story in Fetish and Romance, he'll attract many types of voters. Besides, he's very good. But I'll stick by what I said to Rhys, odds are one or more of the top three stories has yet to be submitted.

Muse, in the last contest Penny didn't submit until the deadline was almost upon us. I know because had she submitted a day sooner, she would have overtaken my score and finished in second place instead of third.

I don't know if she plans on entering this contest, but if she does, I do know it'll be a good story and a strong contender.

Woohoo I submitted a story.

I didn't think with NaNo I would have time, but i managed to write something with NO plot. what little plot there was (and it was tenuous at best) got deleted so it's a 1 page wank fest.

I'll go hide now in shame, I didn't even put it up under my normal name here. Oh so so so many social rules broken in soo few words

Never fear, not a contender for anything except it did provide a good vent for all the sex I wouldn't let happen in my NaNo thing
