Winter Holiday Contest + 7th Anniversary = Big Prizes!

silly question

hello writers!

I am planning to submit my first story to literotica for the contest, which is exciting! I am just worried because my story is so long... do the web-editors automatically cut it into different pages for you? Is there any maximum length limit to the story contest?

Thank you! I am very much enjoying the submissions so far.

Yes, they do cut the story automatically depending on how many words your story has. One page of a Lit story features around 3,000 words. Don't worry about the length; there are plenty of entries that are above two pages this year. Good luck! :)

I was on a roll with my story, now I've slowed. Currently grabbing a fire to put under my butt so I can get the 50 required responses. Hopefully it will be done today.

*fingers crossed!*

Heavenly, I couldn't find your story on the list. Have you submitted it under a different name?

Ugh, I'm still writing like a mad woman. I'm afraid it's going to be too long. I should have it done tonight, but then there's the 72 hour wait (and nail biting) until it is accepted or denied. A sneak peek into it.... It's based on what my meeting up with my Master was suppose to be like. Unfortunately, we won't get that chance, as well...He's no longer with me. He died October 22 nd, but He left many good memories with me. I just had a submission added today actually. It will explain our relationship.

I'll let you know when my story is added. I have to get it done tonight. Otherwise I have no chance of it even being considered.

Heavenly, I'm so sorry. I can't imagine what you must be going through, having lost your Master so recently.

I think the 72 hour wait is sped up as long as you remember to put "WINTER HOLIDAY STORY CONTEST 2005" in the "Notes" section of the submission form. When I submitted my entry, it was up in a matter of hours.

Yes, it's been very hard. I've had a lot of support from my friends. That really helps at a time like this. I was completely devostated. I still have to remind myself it wasn't a nightmare, that He truly is gone.

Oh boy, that's good news! I will remember. I keep writing and it's pouring. I'm afraid of making it too wordy. Because it's based on what Master and I sort of dreamed of as our first true meeting up, I want it to be special. That's why it's taking longer, plus my other responsibilities.

Don't worry about the word count and just let the story come at its own pace. You have until the 7th, so there's no need to rush. If you put too much pressure on yourself, it will show in your work.

Happy Holidays everyone!

After reading some of the other Christmas 2005 stories, well, lets just say that my imagination has a way to go to. Maybe next year!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

PROBLEM?! My story is 11 pages in Word alone. Will that be a problem? I thought maybe of splitting the stories in two, which works, but it's better as one.

Word has nothing to do with submission length. My story was 22 pages in Word, but at Lit it was only 4 pages. As I mentioned before, 3,000 words = 1 Lit page, so the length depends on how many words you've written.

It's 6,236 words, not counting characters.

edited: Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...ok...so my brain is tired! So, it would end up being about 3 Literotica pages! Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaboulous! Hugs tight! Off to finish editing it and send it in like a bat out hell!

Hello Everyone

I have been a reader for a long time, but once I saw the prize money being offered I decided to submit a story.

I am an erotic writer, and I actually have a novel that is out right now but I prefer not to mention my real name or the book right now.

I'd rather my story be judged on it's merit and not mine. I'm late getting in but I hope everyone enjoy's it whether I place in the contest or not.

I plan to submit more. Writing erotica is my passion.

It's submitted! *bouncies excitedly* Oh gosh...I'm actually quite nervous. I at least hope it's excepted and not denied. Though, I have been fortunate that everything I have ever sent in was approved. So, it's waiting time. It has been about two and hours or so. So, I think you can tell how nervous I am. I'm sitting here pondering biting my nails and that's something I don't do!

Forgot to put "Winter holiday story contest 2005" in notes

I am really sorry but I just submitted a story only to realise I forgot to put
"WINTER HOLIDAY STORY CONTEST 2005" in the notes section. What do I do? I sweated over it for days and weeks!

Could I resubmit?

Help!

Hey you, congrats on getting published. That's fantastic and my one and only dream in life. Let me know what your story is, I'd love to read it. Good luck in the contest.

Resubmit, make sure to put edited next to the name so that Laurel knows it's a resubmit and then don't forget to add the winterholdiay stuff to the box...And good luck in the contest.
