I am planning to submit my first story to literotica for the contest, which is exciting! I am just worried because my story is so long... do the web-editors automatically cut it into different pages for you? Is there any maximum length limit to the story contest?
Thank you! I am very much enjoying the submissions so far.
xoxo alexa
Aurora Black said:Heavenly, I couldn't find your story on the list. Have you submitted it under a different name?
Aurora Black said:Heavenly, I'm so sorry. I can't imagine what you must be going through, having lost your Master so recently.
I think the 72 hour wait is sped up as long as you remember to put "WINTER HOLIDAY STORY CONTEST 2005" in the "Notes" section of the submission form. When I submitted my entry, it was up in a matter of hours.
HeavenlyOne said:Oh boy, that's good news! I will remember. I keep writing and it's pouring. I'm afraid of making it too wordy. Because it's based on what Master and I sort of dreamed of as our first true meeting up, I want it to be special. That's why it's taking longer, plus my other responsibilities.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Aurora Black said:Don't worry about the word count and just let the story come at its own pace. You have until the 7th, so there's no need to rush. If you put too much pressure on yourself, it will show in your work.
HeavenlyOne said:PROBLEM?! My story is 11 pages in Word alone. Will that be a problem? I thought maybe of splitting the stories in two, which works, but it's better as one.
Aurora Black said:Word has nothing to do with submission length. My story was 22 pages in Word, but at Lit it was only 4 pages. As I mentioned before, 3,000 words = 1 Lit page, so the length depends on how many words you've written.
HeavenlyOne said:It's 6,236 words, not counting characters.
edited: Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...ok...so my brain is tired! So, it would end up being about 3 Literotica pages! Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaboulous! Hugs tight! Off to finish editing it and send it in like a bat out hell!
Aurora Black said:*hugs back* That's a good length to have!![]()
Tastisha said:I have been a reader for a long time, but once I saw the prize money being offered I decided to submit a story.
I am an erotic writer, and I actually have a novel that is out right now but I prefer not to mention my real name or the book right now.
I'd rather my story be judged on it's merit and not mine. I'm late getting in but I hope everyone enjoy's it whether I place in the contest or not.
I plan to submit more. Writing erotica is my passion.

Hey you, congrats on getting published. That's fantastic and my one and only dream in life. Let me know what your story is, I'd love to read it. Good luck in the contest.Tastisha said:I have been a reader for a long time, but once I saw the prize money being offered I decided to submit a story.

Resubmit, make sure to put edited next to the name so that Laurel knows it's a resubmit and then don't forget to add the winterholdiay stuff to the box...And good luck in the contest.scribbledehobble said:I am really sorry but I just submitted a story only to realise I forgot to put
"WINTER HOLIDAY STORY CONTEST 2005" in the notes section. What do I do? I sweated over it for days and weeks!
Could I resubmit?
