The last few days have found numerous (as many as 75) flies in my living room and now a scattered few buzzing around my bedroom light. Its been not quite as cold here recenlty and apparently they were movig around outside and found there way inside my house. I can only guess they came in through my fireplace.

In the day time they gather in my bay window which overlooks a large field and is heated by the sun all day. My technique for dealing with them is to let them croak and vacuum them up.

Its frustrating as hell to clean up the little carcasses. Other than that they dont do much but try to stay warm by the window.

Anyone else got these visitors?

(I know alot of us in the Northeast have problems with the 'Halloween' bugs.)

LMAO Try shutting the windows and keep them out. Or maybe caulk them.

Considering its about 25 here with snow falling and the wind gusting, the windows are closed. I'm also the only house for a half mile so I think I am the last refuge for the bastards. My fireplace flu was not closed tight and whammo.

I forgot that little entrance.

Dude, there are fruit flies constantly hovering around my apartment, especially upstairs where there is NO FRUIT!
