There were none almost all spring and early summer but some heavy rains made them bad last week. The spraying as brought them back under control. At least I noticed few when I was in the yard just a while ago.

I might just have to bring that robe teehee. We will see in 14 days wont we? hehehe 14 sleeps! Two weeks! Its getting so close! And time is just about flying by. Sounds to me like I picked the wrong week to go. So much going on in the city right now. Ah well Im sure Jo wont have any trouble making me enjoy the city with all we have to do while im there. If we find any time to see the actual city other then when we are driving from one place to another lol. Anyway....are yall still getting hot weather out there? God was it hot here today! I didnt get the exact temp but yesh! What a day to wear a dark top and black pants to work! Thank heavens for air conditioned offices lol. Hope you are all well. Will write more soon.

Hey, all! Funny how the real world interferes with getting online
Spiritfest (the Portage Avenue street festival I had been talking about for a while) was last weekend, and I LOVED it...that is, what little of it I actually got to. Stupid workgottahaveajobgrumble...
Anyway, I'm finally out of overtime Hell, and am able to enjoy the upcoming weekend. Taste of Manitoba! Elephants at the Zoo! Heck, I even got to the outdoor concert at the Forks tonight (every Thursday night in the summer is a swing/blues/jazz concert at the Forks - I only just found out about it today while sitting in one of the eating areas, munching on some great food!). Ah, and ice cream at SubZero!!
The weather is just fantastic, and, best of all, the downtown Eatons building is FINALLY BEGINNING DEMOLITION!!! WHOO HOOO!!!!!! (read my earlier posts as to some answers about why I think this is a GOOD THING).
Gotta run. Great pics, sweetone, keep em coming. How about some of the other ladies around there, though?

Yo, Winnipeg and non-Winnipeg types!
So, the whole city is being fogged for mosquitos, despite that whole residential objection thing, because of a dead crow with West Nile Virus. (this is more just info for the non-Winnipeggers out there - I don't really have much to talk/complain/rant about on the subject)(just that mosquitos suck)(which is, I suppose, the point).
Hmm...what else. It's fershlugginner hot lately (although yesterday was way worse). Eggs frying on sidewalks, birds exploding in mid-air, that sort of thing.
(by the by, does anybody else ever have this problem with Lit - you go to load up a page [usually the Reply to Topic] and it never actually loads properly, and you have to hit Reload? This happens to me on a fairly regular basis. Although, my computer does suck...)(not as bad as mosquitos, though)

Ill have to go look for you at that other place tho. And dont feel bad the chat here isnt great anyway. About that problem your having here. I dont get that but the other day I woke up and had like 8 emails from here for replys and PM's and came here and not a single one existed. And they havent been here since then either lol. So Im not sure what that was all about. Oh well as long as I didnt miss anything I dont really care. But you should ask Laurel about that problem your having see if its your puter or the site. 6 days!
Wow seems like forever ive been counting this down and yet it also feels like the time has flown by so fast. In just 6 days im finally going to be there. I have to go out tonight and pick up a few things for the trip. The bus ride and the wedding and all that. Bought my ticket the other night. Have to get my bag out and pack. All that fun stuff. Can hardly wait! Its going to be so great Jo. Hope the rest of you are doing great. Talk to you all soon.

Ok knowing my luck. Everyone has been quiet for really long now and as soon as I go away everyone is going to start talking! Well everyone I am off to Winnipeg tomorrow first thing in the morning. Ill be home Monday night as far as I know possibly earlier but I hope not. I will be sure to come let you all know what I think of the city. And share my experiences at BDI ice cream on Sunday lol. Take care everyone. And Jo babe ill see you in 24 hours and 10 minutes. teehee yes I have gone from counting down days to counting down hours lol. First of all gotta say welcome to the new ppl. And thank heavens Jo was so enamoured with me or hed be after his fellow slurpie junkie lol.
Now about my trip. Too short. I loved Winnipeg. I saw lots of it. Jo was an amazing tour guide since he knows so much about the city. I got bit by a few sqeeters which is so unfair cause I never ever get bit! So ouchie scratchy. But other then that. Wow. I miss it already so much. I want to go back nowwwww. And now we are moving on to Jo's countdown till he comes to visit me this weekend. teehee. Ill let you all know about everything we got to see and where we went and ate and all that later on today. I need to get to sleep now tho. I was on the bus all night with no sleep so Ive been up since 7am yesterday after only going to bed at 2am. Im a wee bit sleepy lol. Anyway I will share the gossip later folks lol.

this is what we did
Ok so ill give you all the shortest version of our weekend that I can without forgetting anything. And you only get so many details lol. Jo picked me up at the bus Thursday night and after letting me have a smoke and try to calm down we got in the car. I think I scared the poor man I was shaking so violently I was so nervous lol. Anyway as we made our way to the hotel Jo pointed out a million places as we got a little tour of the city. Then back to the hotel. Which was nice. The next day we went to meet his dogs lol. Who by the way are adorable beyond belief. We then went to Silver Cities to see Lilo and Stitch. Woooohooooo oh ya cute movie. Then to lunch at the mall next door. Then he took me to The Forks. Which I definately think I would love if it hadnt been so hot. I dont handle heat well at all and poor Jo got snapped at big time. By the way dear sorry for that. I needed to get inside you see everyone I dont enjoy the heat and we were walking acorss the bridge which would have been lovely and romantic if I hadnt been so hot. lol Anyway next time im there we are definately going to spend a good while there! hehehe. Then we finally managed to find my uncles place and came back into town with all of them for dinner at some yummy place. Then just me back to uncles with him for the night. Jo picked me up for the wedding the next morning. We had a great time at the wedding it was so lovely. Back to the hotel but in a different room Saturday night and this second room was way nicer. We watched soem tv and vegged around lol so lovely. Then of course we took our halos and wings off and fell soundly asleep. The next morning we went to lunch and then to another movie this time Ice Age. And to petland to play with the kittens. And more driving around the city for a tour. Dinner at Appleby's. And then I spent the night at uncles again. The next morning I missed my bus so I had to spend the rest of the day in the city but had a lovely time with Jo's parents who were kind enough to entertain me. And got another couple hours with Jo before I had to leave. Now its his turn to come visit me this weekend. And silly him is preparing for a nice tour of the city I live in. Little does he know...not saying a word lol. Anyway that is the run down of my time in the peg. I had a wonderful time and yall have such a lovely city. And I can barely wait to go back! Ohhhhhh and I forgot the most important event of the weekend! BDI! was fabulous delicious yummy and I will be going back there. Teehee Im kidding Jo you know the best parts of the weekend. And dont you forget....it was your fault not mine! teehee Ok so hope you all get an idea of my time there now that ive monopolized so many weeks talking about this trip. Hope everyone is well.
