As Istanbul is about to blow?
Of course we won't...
...because fundamental Sunni Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is one of the President prime partners in illegally overthrowing the Syrian government of Alawite Shia Bashar Hafez al-Assad (Obama's other prime Muslim partners abetting him are Sunni Saudi Arabia and Sunni Qatar).
Now that the Shia Islamic Republic of Iran has effectively dispatched their terrorist arm Hezzbollah to assist their bro Assad in displacing a bunch of military gains the Sunni jihadist "rebels" had won...
...it is not the time for Obama to abandon an essential partner - unless, of course, he doesn't really care about backing-up his and his Sunni buddy's proclamation last month that Assad must give up power to a transitional government.
Officially, at least half of all in-country Turks are fed-up with Erdoğan's fundamental Islamism - Turkey was well on it's way to separation of church and state before he took office in 2003...
...they want Erdoğan to vacate office and for Turkey to chart a more secular course.
Sounds like something an American president could really support.
Unfortunately, though, for individual liberty lovers everywhere...
...the President of the USSA has his own political agenda.
