dolf said:on the gb this thread has reached 3 pages.
on the pg it's had 4 replies...two of them from the thread starter.
maybe this in itself answers your question?
totally different attitudes.

Well, that's why I play around here and the pic board now.Cratchit said:well, i always thought you were sexy so forget those losers![]()

Here, in the PG, it's the land of never ending threads - some of which strike me as odd, such as the odd and even number threads. Here it's tons of flirting, friendliness and frivolity... all nice things I think.
The GB has that edgy side but are far more topical to current issues. It's more like a flash story over on the GB, it's fun, fast and furious. Nice things again I think.
I spend lots of time on the HT board mostly because I'm rather serious but we have fun there too.
In Lit. Land, there is something for all to enjoy! Some people just take offense to just what others enjoy, or they like to poke fun and other's fun.
So it goes...

I have seen too many fat bashing threads on there (there's one right now in which the creator and some others say that the women in the Dove ads are fat...if that's true, then what the hell am I?). Also, about a year and a half ago, two troll brothers decided that they wanted to destroy my pic thread and my esteem. I tried to act nice at first, not knowing about trolls, and made a big mistake. They ended up killing my original pic thread and they came back briefly in my current one. They housed in the GB for a while, creating at least 2 "what's up with all these fat chicks?" threads, and one of them even stole one of my pictures and created a "no" sign over it, writing "just say no" over it and used it as his AV. I have known plenty of great people through other boards who spend a lot of time in the GB, but I just can't bring myself to try to post on it again. There seems to be so much hate and arguing about stupid stuff that I can't ignore it and just discuss the current events with the normal people who post there. I even tried looking in there earlier this evening and after looking in one or two threads, I ended up coming back in here. I guess people just don't like me.BBWetKitty said:I find that an interesting statement. I haven't found it to be true as I am fat and post primarily on the GB. It's unfortunate that someone made you feel that way.
Just consider the source. They are only people on the other side of a monitor. I'm not condoning what happened, I'm just saying that you should not give what they did any worth or negative impact on who you are.College_geek said:I guess people just don't like me.

GB....
People who think too highly of their own opinon
People who see enjoyment out of arguing to the point of being personal
People who have great passion for ideas, beliefs, etc
People who attack and tear down
PG....
People who see enjoyment out of banter and friendly exhange
People who care about the feelings of the other posters
People who have great passion about their ideas, beliefs, etc but don't take it personally when someone disagrees
People who start prayer threads for people who need it
Again these are utter generalizations but It is my experience that the PG is much more accepting of people while the GB is much more confrontational.
