I though Putin stated that those laws would not be enforced upon Olympians or during the Olympics or some such.

The topic we are discussing is a prime example. Views on homoasexuality have much to do with culture and religious views. There are culture where people will kill homosexuals. I am not saying it is right however views are many times culturally based. In America we have not resolved the homosexual rights issues sufficiently to stand up and point fingers and criticize another country. Until we get our own house squared away we should not try to tell others what they are doing wrong when we are doing so poorly.
