Supreme Court Will Hear Arguments on Tuesday That Could Overturn Convictions of Hundreds of J6 Rioters

RICK MORAN | 10:14 AM ON APRIL 14, 2024

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court will hear a case that could impact the 2024 presidential election and lead to the release of or reduction in sentences for hundreds of January 6 rioters.

Before the trials began, the J6 prosecutors decided that the most serious charge they could get a conviction for was an obstruction charge. The prosecutors were alleging that the rioters obstructed an official proceeding of Congress, making the crime eligible to be prosecuted for anyone who "corruptly alters, destroys, mutilates, or conceals a record, document, or other object, or attempts to do so, with the intent to impair the object’s integrity or availability for use in an official proceeding; or (2) otherwise obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding, or attempts to do so.”

There are two points of contention for defense attorneys. The first is the definition "corruptly" and the second is the "otherwise" wording that leads, they say, to an overly broad interpretation of the statute.

The case involves Joseph W. Fischer, an off-duty Pennsylvania police officer, who is facing several charges as a result of his admitted participation in the riot.

We shall see, but probably not for a couple of months.

There might be a cover-half-ass move, like commuting sentences, a legal bikini.

In my view, a lot of the politicized convictions of the last decade are going to be overthrown. I think this extends even into some of the business trials we have seen like Sam Bankman-Fried, who really got hammered for what was a fairly typical San Jose scam.

Real Americans can at least rest assured that these guilty traitors have suffered mental and social anguish up until this point, regardless of whether or not they end up getting lucky.

Hopefully the damage is permanent. 🙏 🙏

And how many other counts were against most of these not-even-close-to-patriots? So what if one count is removed?

These lemmings would do it again, willingly.

If they are, then maybe I should burn down a couple fundamentalist churches, vandalize some military recruiting centers, and set a bomb in a federal building in Oklahoma, then when I get arrested, I'll just claim it was politically protected free speech and that my prosecution is politically motivated and unjust. Since respect for law, order, the Constitution, and the greater good seems to have gone out the window these days, if the J6 rioters can get off scott free, maybe if I commit the above crimes, I will too.

Or maybe, just maybe, justice will actually be served and those who committed the atrocities that horrible day really will serve the sentences they deserve. I always hope for the greater good to prevail over evil.

The only ATTROCITY committed that day was the murder of an unarmed female protestor by a scared Capitol Police Officer.

You guys did in 2020.

Should have been charged with murder, instead he was promoted, justice democrat style.
If you simps didn't try to overthrow the government because your gawd got trounced, she would still be alive so fuck right the fuck off with your fake bullshit.

Yawn...same boring horseshit. If it was a coup why weren't all of these protestors armed and shooting up the place? Because it wasn't a coup it was a protest. Perhaps if they had looted and burned the Capitol liberal style all would be okay.

She fucked around and found out.
Not at all. That pathetic excuse for a law enforcement officer shit himself and shot the easiest target, an unarmed woman. Any other cop would have been charged with murder. She was in no way a direct threat to him or anyone else. But that's part of your despicable narrative, that she was a violent attacker. Proven wrong by eye witness accounts. He straight up committed murder.

He saw a gun and gallows and a bunch of you simps trying to overthrow our government. He acted appropriately as judged by the courts and his superiors.

Over and over and over, as well as illegally taking over portions in multiple cities. But come on now we all know liberal law breaking doesn't really count...Right?
It was actually only one city.

And only a few violent events. I'm quite a large number of protests...meaning instigators did stupid shit in only a few places.

The conflation of the 2020 protests is fun.
