No.

They will always look for, and find a new excuse to hate you..A new reason to attack you...And a new justification to rationalize their terrorism against you.

example:

Israel pulled out of occupied Southern Lebanon in 2000 that their Christian proxy allies the SLA had occupied as a buffer zone to prevent terrorist attacks on Israel proper.

Hezbollah, based in Lebanon, waged a campaign for 18 years against Israel's occupation of southern Lebanon as a self-declared security zone. Israel withdrew its forces from Lebanon two years ago, but maintains a heavy military presence on Israel's northern frontier.

They said the attacks would stop when Israel withdrew from Lebanon....

And this was the scene yesterday:

Lebanese police said guerrillas fired anti-tank rockets and artillery rounds at Israeli positions at Roweissit al-Aalam and Tallet Sammaqa, opposite Kfarshuba in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah itself said that it had attacked Roweissit al-Aalam after spotting Israeli soldiers leaving their position.

"The Islamic Resistance today attacked an Israeli post in Rouiessat el-Alan in the Shebaa Farms using missiles and rockets and have scored a direct hit," according to a Hezbollah statement.

The new excuse?

Hezbollah says the Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory was incomplete, claiming the Shebaa Farms area for Lebanon - a claim Israel rejects.

The "Shebaa Farms" is a rocky patch of nearly barren mountainous terrain between 1,300 and 6,500 feet in elevation and measuring only 10 square kilometers in size. It is barely fit for farming and better suited for goat and sheep grazing.

No--it won't stop!

UNLESS we all convert to an extreme form of Islam--which means "submission."

But Submission, as The American revolution shows, is really un-American.

Therefore, we are in for a conflict that will outlast those currently alive. If we are lucky, there will be a Reformation of Islam (a restoration of Itijhad--the interpreatation of the Holy Koran according to the light of reason, something stamped out seven hundred years ago), followed, inevitably, by a religious war within Islam itself.

The most we can hope for is to stand aside when it happens.

Funny how the above phrase is, in the opinion of the rest of the planet, applicable to American foreign policy.

It would be funnier and more true if Hussein were complying with the mandates he agreed to on multiple occasions. Lost in the bitching about Bush's war rhetoric is that Hussein's is just as juicy. But of course, that's our fault, as everything in the world somehow winds up being.
