I like this last idea, but I don't know how to edit videos. I can do photos pretty easily. I'll have to think of a good way to bring this up to her.

I also agree with your first point. On the second, I have a tripod that we can use, but a stand we have that sits on top of the headboard works better. We don't really have a place to add a bunch of mirrors, especially where it's visible from the bed.
