Did anyone just see the replay of Barry Bonds hitting a Home Run into the Ocean? I can see watching out for the ball if your in the stands, that's just the name of the game, so to speak. At least they have warning. But, what fool would put a ballpark next to an ocean, where nobody knows when to get out of the way? It's just a matter of time before someone will be swimming & WHACK!

it's on the bay, but no one swims there and there isn't a beach nearby.

Its no different than building it inland when evenutally someone will be strolling the in the parking lot & WHACK

If someone is swimming in the bay outside of Pac Bell Park in San Francisco........they got more to worry about than flying balls from the baseball games.

Not only that, but I believe after the first season Pac Bell Park was opened, and they had a couple of near misses with boaters almost hitting each other going after the balls. They put in a no boat zone area for the games.

It is called "the City by the Bay" afterall. And if you notice, all the people in their boats are watching the game, intently, just hoping to shag one of those bay-bound homers. There aren't many surpirses.

To be honest, I'm not much of a baseball fantic. I only care about the Yankees. And, when their not in the Series, I usually just don't watch.
