fall asleep after sex???

I am so bitter about this. No matter how good it is, this just seems rude to me... yes i just got fucked, and YES he's alseep in MY bed!!! I asked him nicely not to go to bed until after i left to get my kids... he couldnt even wait 30 minutes. bam! his eyes closed and he was out for the count!

*raises hand*

guilty as charged. you got me for about four good seconds after sex until i'm out.

I take it as a compliment. If I fuck the devil outta somebody, I don't want them jumping up and running around the house afterward. Even with my girlfriend, I know if I do it right, she will be down for the count when I'm done. I'm the same way, if you do it just right, I don't have anything left! See what I mean??

not a sleepy kind of guy here. I'm be up long after you've been down.

i understand, but since i have problems sleeping when the sun is up... he could have waited til i left. or gone home. i have trouble sleeping even at night and it pisses me off that he's snoring away in my bed! go home!

What I've been told is that when you are satisfied you fall asleep. Male or female, if they roll over and fall right to sleep they were satisfied.

I get really hungry and thirsty after sex.

I like to get something and then go watch some tv.

Well, there seems to be an easy answer here...Tell him to get the fuck up and shuffle it on home! I'd say, "Hey babe, this ain't the fucking Holiday Inn! You wanna sleep, do it in your bed!"

Well, wake him back up with a good blow.

I don't generally go to sleep afterwards. I'm too tired at night to get some. See, I get up early and my wife gets up later, so when she's randy at night, I beg off. During the day or in the morning is more my style... So I don't sleep afterwards.

falling asleep afterward..

I figure that from an evolutionary standpoint, the male is expendable afterward, and since copulating tends to make a couple both conspicous & vulnerable to predators, If he passes out like a possum , he's great bait while she escapes.;)

The brain shorts out from the sensation overload, the sudden release of tightened muscles is very relaxing, ( try progressively tensing every muscle in your body, holding it for 1/2 a minute or so , and then releasing them all at once...hypnotists & stress consultants use similar techniques.) , the heart has to squeeze hard to maintain an erection, and the endorphins combine to make a person pass out.

Try doing it standing up or somewhere other than bed & sending him for a shower afterwards, maybe that will help. Please try to seperate the personality from the biological process.Don't take it personal. Give him a minute & wake him up.

Hm... Well, color me unsatisfied... Or perhaps immune, I'd say is more likely.

It depends sometimes on what the day has been like. General my husband is out cold. Yeah that was great....zzzzzzzzzzzz. I'm left laying there thinking about how great it is. As of late, he's wanted to stay up and talk and cuddle. He's been doing a lot of things differently lately.

Wake him up. Blow him...stroke him...sit on his face. He'll come around with any of those solutions.

I'm very lucky in that my partner doesn't get tired until the second or third time around. Even if he's tired, he'll still indulge me in some oral :D I've been staying up later with him on the weekends...never thought I'd be seeing 3am

That's it, I am so not sleeping with another woman...

I've been known to fall asleep, not often. Like most people have said here, take it as a compliment.

If it really irks you so, methinks there is more to it, something else going on.

not me I like to grab a bite to eat and pray for round two!;)

Me too. I'm always really hungry after sex. Always makes a nice break for round two.

I've also long long ago gotten into the habit of taking care of her till I or she can't stand it before I go in anyhow. I can't even remember the the last time I started with intercorse or even second or third...hehe SO, usually that sleepyness is pretty concurrent. The trick is understanding ones own tendancies and adjusting behaviour to work for both people.

Let me ask this. If you were completely satisfied and all those things were done BEFORE sex would it bother you if he fell asleep right afterwards?

or as Allexus_TN says
>Wake him up. Blow him...stroke him...sit on his face. He'll come around with any of those solutions.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm nice thought!

I think its hormonal
Plus orgasm is very relaxing, but yeah.It irritates me to

It is hormonal. When a guy cums certain hormones are released into the bloodstream (I can't remember the name). Each guy is affected differently. Some absolutely must sleep. They cannot help it. This is a hormonal effect. Other guys are hardly effected.
Is there someone here with a medical background who can help me out with this explanation?

I'd stay up for ya...

I remember from my Psych/Physiology courses that for men it's a normal physiological response. Don't remember if it's equally true for women. The response can be overcome like anything else...like learning not to be a quick ejaculator. I work hard on the discipline, nevertheless it's a "normal" physiological response. Sorry ladies.

I like to stay awake and run my fingers through your hair... to whisper and laugh and to rub my finger along your smooth skin.... keeps me motivated to stay awake for round 2.

See, and THAT's the best way to end a round.

I don't think I've ever had a lover fall asleep after I'm done with them except for the twins, and that was all three of us crashing after about 7 hours playing together. Other than that, my lovers and I tend to run out and grab a bite to eat (it used to be chicken mcnuggets that I craved after sex, but I don't eat McDonald's anymore, so I'm searching for a post-orgasmic food to fill the craving). I have, on one occasion fallen asleep after sex, but oftentimes if I'm being done really well, I do pass out for between 10 seconds and 5 minutes, and then wake up with a clenched pussy and an orgasm... I've heard the guys enjoy that.

The hormone explanation is definitely the right one. I think they're called endorphines or something. They make you want to sleep in itself. In addition, they work stronger when combined with physical activity, such as in sex.

When you just masturbate, you usually don't have that much physical activity, so then you don't feel that tired (and even then it's a great sleeping medicine!) But masturbation after a hard day, that's good for sleep! No wonder they call it the "Male Relief"!

And anyway, it's not like you need a full 8 hours of sleep. It's enough with a small nap or something. Of course if you have sex at night, it might be different.

For women it appears to be the opposite. Unfortunately.

So you don't like that your partner falls asleep after having had sex? Well, he doesn't like that you have the period either. It's the same thing; you can't do anything about either of them. And it's a waste of time to nag about it. Not to mention an annoyance in your relationship.
