Because the old guard here needs some new blood.

I don't have a problem with any new person coming in and posting right off the bat as long as the posts are intelligent and not inflammatory and you don't start a new thread for every post. Follow some common sense rules and ignore the old grouches (especially me ;) )

So come on you newbies (and you old lurkers), make some posts and give us the benefit of a fresh outlook - we know you are out there.

Hear here.

Motion is seconded.

If someone doesnt stick a knife in my ribs soon I will perish from general malaise.

I think I have Lit-burnout.... I read every post.. and find nothing to comment on, that I haven't commented on before.

I now see the draw backs of spending so much time here..

but for some reason, I can't leave. My computer keeps coming back here... it's like it has a mind of it's own.

Anyway, I'm here.. I'm lurking.. if anyone wants me.. either start a thread.. or catch me in another one.

:)

As a newbie I find it easier to lurk a little first to get a feel of how the people on Lit will respond to my particular sense of humor, and my typically sarcastic manner. Being a tad bit on the shy side doesn't help me either, never been a great one for making small talk the first few times I meet someone. Takes me a little bit to get comfortable with someone, but I will do my best to add intelligent conversation to some of the threads.

So, hello everyone.
