why is this place so damned addictive?

i find myself becomming completely obsessed when learning something new but that doesn't fully explain the addictive nature of this place...i'm no more a voyeur than most...haven't made any real close friends yet and i'm not having hot cyber sex yet...so why do i find it hard to leave it alone for a while...i've seen the warnings to newbies that it is addictive so i know i'm not the only one...any opinions?

I always wonder what's going to show up on the boards next. It's a great place to learn new things as long as you have an open mind. The people are great...lots of opinions and good advice to be found. Oh and the sex stories are pretty good too

The anonymity of the place allows for greater levels of personal voyeurism/exhibitionism/opinionated comment than you would generally find in RL so you get a peek at a side of life you might otherwise miss.
