Admission: It's a sure-fire deal-closer IRL.
And it's also true...when Peter Falk says "as you wish" and tips his hat, I'm done.

Never Ending Story!
I think that will be next. It seems to fit my theme of trying to traumatise my kids.I think a horse dies.
I can't even remember what the ending was.
the book is better.
that's because it's the most depressing movie ever made. it's great, but i barely made it through it once and it'll never happen again. even jennifer connely having fake lesbian sex was fucking depressing and that's just wrong.
"Don't go, Shane...don't go..."
Dad made me watch that years ago. Very good flick.
Land Before Time, then after the movie have them look up the trivia on IMDB.
The grandson (fred savage) , realizing The End has occured, asked his Grandfather (Peter Falk) if he'll come back and read it again tomorrow.
The Grandfather is leaving the grandson's bedroom, looks back , smiles, and says "As you wish."
I teared up typing it for chrissakes.
We watched that and all the spin offs when my oldest was in Sick Kids.
I didn't know about trivia though.
there's a lot of truth in it. chemically altered lens.
the old lady haunted me.
it was bad fake lesbian sex! quite depressing.
see, i know this is a trite thing to say, but i seriously loved the book when i was a kid so i'm not kidding. the book is much better and not just because there's no kajagoogoo or whatever. lemal or something? i don't know.
The voice of Ducky was a little girl who was murdered by her father shortly before the release of the film.
That movie wrecks my shit every time now after learning that.
Aw.
Now I'm going to have to find this and watch it. All I remember is the giant.
And the cutie who rescues her of course.
Christ! I didn't need to know that.
Ugh.
I never read the book.
....I was a Ramona Quimby, Age 8 kinda gal. That and The Waterbabies I remember like it was yesterday.
But I agree that the book is most often better.
